Maybe it's design is a bit outdated, but the features are perfect. But video recording resolution isn't mentioned anywhere. It could be the usual 176 x 144, but having in mind the 6280, it could be 640 x 480 pix, which would make it a bestseller.

hmm, a cheaper version of the N75. I wonder if it will record in mpeg4..?? Thats what they all say until u get it and realize that it will only record in 3gp, but u must do a firmware upgrade to get it to play back MPEG4. Just like 3 other nokia phones i have. same crap.

i just looked on another nokia site and the specs say it has an mpeg4 video player!!! 2mp camera, video calling, 16m colour screen, 262k outer screen (most fones have 262k as main screen and 65k outer!), mp3 player, MPEG4 player (YES!!), bluetooth, stereo speakers, 3d games...... jesus this is the greatest phone ever! Hopefully it'll be available sim free/unlocked cos I WANT ONE!!

the 6233 sound is superb...so clear ..is the best ...but is tis gd

can't decide whether to get nokia 6131 (those great screens!) or razrv3x (2mp camera, video calling), so saw this coming soon and thought thats the one to get. However, the specs don't mention an mpeg4 player. If it had one it would be perfect. Can you play your own videos like music videos on this phone even if you have to convert them in order to do so? If you can i'll buy this phone when it's released.

why they didnt call this phone like N77 or N78 itwould be better , i like the N-series all of it , such a phone like this deserves a good name , i hate numbers , if ur friend ask u whats that phone dont tell 6290 tell him somthin nicer , lol , if u told him 6290 he will tell u thats sucks , what a terrible name lol byez

i think a 2.2 inch screen is small it wouldve been atleast 2.4 inch or more

Nice fone .. big fan of nokia but uhm .. i think this is just the bussines version of the l`amour 7390 with camera in front and symbian. Better specs but i still prefer the design of the black 7390.

It is updated version of 6131 even 16m colorsSambian firmware plus Nokia over confidence its market leader has backfired,E Series have flooped miserably.The Cheapest feel of 6131 will definately reflect n 6290 esp the plastic border on sides ad keypads is too Cheap.Customers r matured enough to get quality even if u mishandle because if firmware is stable nothing can happen.Nokia has merged with Erisscon,get both brains to give a fool proof cell phone=====

i have a question here , so its symbian based but here it stated S60 UI , does this means its the same like N80 & others using the .sisX extension where tons of S60 2nd editon apps & games are not supported ... ? seems to be a very powerful clamshell nokia had put into this phone . unlike the N75 , hi res but uses .sisX means lesser apps & games for the time being ... ?

Again nice secreen by Nokia , i dont knwo..but i think nokia go to do best in option in next generation of phone , and never say nokia go to loser here first place in GSM_WORLD ;)

This is a new version of the lousy 6260. Nokia just borrowed the 16m display from Panasonic and the stereo speakers from Sendo X....
and an external display.
That's what you call creativity.
