So far, I've read the comments and I noticed that most of the feedbacks here are pretty convincing, now that 6290 projects all of its features as excellent, if not, very good. But how about the dust build up in the main and external screens? does it really collect a lot of dust easily or is the phone is sealed from dust? I'm planning to purchase one in a couple of weeks.

6233 or 6290
They're in a different class. The 6290 is a Symbian60 phone and has an excellent internet browser. The 6233 does not. Also the 6290 comes with several times bigger memory than the 6233. Other statistics are pretty much the same.

6290 is way better than N76.
6290
+ price (at least 100e difference to N76)
+ sturdy build, easy-to-use buttons
+ good sound quality
+ quick symbian OS
+ all same features as in N76 basically
- looks
- camera (pretty useless except for sending pictures to friends)
N76
+ looks (i admit it is a trendy phone)
+ slightly better file support than 6290
- price
- 3.5mm jack in the way, can't open phone when earphones are plugged in
- chrome peels off after few weeks of use
- button panel is flat, hard to use
- battery life isn't up to the standard
- a multimedia phone like this SHOULD have better speakers
- again, a multimedia phone as well marketed as the N76 SHOULD boast a better camera
If you think about it, if you want the functions of N76, you're better off with a 6290. If you want a high-tech phone, you're better off with N95 anyway.

Wow! This is a fantastic fone. I have had so many Nokia fones, but this one beats all the others. It is very quick when responding to the buttons, more than the Nokia E65. I did hesitate when I discovered this was a symbian fone, but it's just fantastic. Lots of memory, keypad brilliant.

GSMArena's specs of this phone is WRONG. It doesn't use Pop-port anymore. It uses microUSB like all the other new Nokia phones
