honestly, this phone is unique n attractive. nice cam, very clear n loud sounds. BUT the only thing is when taking pictures, at times it says "OPERATION FAILED". 2ndly, it hangs once in awhile.

The specs claim that this phone has accelerometer (phone has a tapping feature - it displays time and date after two taps on it), but i tried to install a game that uses accelerometer but the game doesnt function.. This phone has no accelerometer!

black 6600s user for 4 months++;
+ impressive 3.2mp camera (max dimensions: 1536 x 2048)
+ 20MB phone memory (1MB can store 1000 text msgs)
+ up to 4G memory card allowed
+ can charge phone thru datacable (connect to PC thru USB)
+ avid photographer (candid shots), no prob with short battery life so far
+ impressive battery power management (has sleep mode feature)
+ very stylish and attractive!
+ sounds/music is relatively loud (compared to other nokia phones)
+ vibration is OK
- video recording is really bad when phone is in motion (but max dimensions is good: 640x480)
- operating system is S40; S60 (such as in Nseries) may have more features (try to google and compare S40 and S60); nevertheless, i can still install any software i like (ebook reader, dictionary, tone composer, lots of games!) and avail of the 3G features
- smudges, sweat, fingerprint magnet; need to be wiped off frequently
- can be very slippery for those with sweaty hands, making it prone to falling (i recommend putting back the leather jacket on it after every use)
- phone suddenly shuts down (when i browse pics or use the camera) but it happens very rarely
overall, it's a kind of phone you should boast to anyone coz it's so attractive! i've no regrets and i'm enjoying my phone! so small and slim it looks fit for girls, but what the hell..i'm a guy and i'm lovin it!

If yor keypad doesn't light up, you may go to the camera mode and then quit. Then the keypad light will return to normal. Or you may cover the brightness sensor at the top right corner with your thumb for about 10 sec, the keypad light will come back.

I bought this phone about 2-3 weeks ago and i have only just noticed that the keypad doesnt light up at all especially when texting in a dark room?!
Has anybody else had this problem? or have i got a a dud phone??

can any one tell me two things about it.
1. i dont find how to mute caera sound. unlike my 6500 it doesnt hv sound on/off in camera and everytime i take picture it gives a BIG sound.. :(
2. how to take foto from front???

Got mob from o2 uk on friday. Charged fully. Started setting up friday evening, within 2 mins the mob restarted its self, my phone contacts half were deleted, the other half were not in alphabet order, turned it self of yesturday & would not come back on for 1 hr then came on fine. Sending back today, software a nightmare. BEWARE!!!!!

Had this phone bout a month. Its small n cute design (just love it). Function also great. One of the toughest nokia phone i ever use beside 8910. Its been drop several time, once drop from my motobike ride. Still ok, just a scratch here n there. it's seem to be design to be toughest slide phone ever. but, very poor of 3.2 megapixel camera n video cam. Seem like, 1.3mp camera phone. Cannot compare with my previous SE 2.0mp cybershot.

Got it today from 02 uk upgrade. Its on charge at mo.. Looks very nice, small, good materials. Will be back once had a play with it.

HI I got my Nokia 6600 Slide black magneta today. Its very nice phone no problems sighted price was 260€ and 5 free downloads from nokia music store, and sorry my bad english. I like it! Very cool, low price,good camera,supports 4GT micro sd,not too big phone,good music plugs. In every way I love it :p

Can you pls tell me if texting is ewasy with the button... morehey julie. texting will take a little getting used to as the keys are a little narrow, and there isn't much to hold on to below the keypad. however, i think it's possible to find even the most uncomfortable keypad text-friendly once you get used to it. i found the notoriously confusing nokia 3200 keypad fine after a few days.
