what nokia 6600 slide version did you buy? mine is i think malaysian version. never really had any of those problems you type of. before buying this phone make sure that the phone you are going to buy is not the 1st version released(china version) it has been reported to have a lot of bugs. how would you know if you have the china version? the only map available is china.

This is beautiful little phone with basic functions. Easy to use, has all the most important functions and looks and feels great in the hand.

Geoff, 13 Oct 2008Nokia 6600 slide Have a couple of problems which I would... moreI got this phone a few days ago and i'm having the same problems with the "tapping" (does not result unless you tap very hard on the screen, i didn't try tapping on the back cover..)and the "white flash flickering lines" on the screen. The radio is working with the earpieces but will not work with the external speaker :( and the photo quality (3.2mp cam) is not better than the 2mp of my old w810i. That's why i will once again buy a w810i which i was using for 3 years before buying 6600 slide. I've got over 30 phones the last 15 years, have tried siemens (my first phone ever), ericsson, sony ericsson, nokia, alcatel, samsung, motorola, lg... nokia may have good phones but i'll not buy one myself anymore!

Am I the only one getting annoyed of the phone's slider? does your slider shake when you text? or is your slider stable when opened?

Seriously u dont know how to turn it on? Honestly u r the most stupidest person... either read the manual or hold the POWER button on which is the red button... Do u know what red colour is?

OK, so I'm being an a$$. I don't care. I don't have the phone but judging by the pictures it would appear the red 'hang-up' button doubles as the power button. Press and hold.
Oh, and this may seem obvious but charge it up too.

Great little phone, looks like a high end phone. Nice looks, solid feel and a fraction of the price of a carbon arte or sirocco. I'll be buying one for sure.

Now this device has been launched, the 6500 slide's price will drop and with its rich retail package is a very good alternative to the 6600 slide.
