go to profiles anf personalise ie and then off the warning tones....it will disable the shutter sound of the camera.....

Hi, i just bought a 6600u slide phone yesterday...
it is a nice simple phone (not too good yet not so bad). overall, good thing with this phone is its built quality and the bad thing is its camera.
but i still like it!
*** need a lil' help with its camera auto-focus,
i am having a hard time figuring it out.
coz' sometimes the auto focus turns green but most of the time it is red. i know the green one says it a good shot but i always make sure i have a good shot but it still turns red. out of 10 good still shots, only 1 turned green. =(
pls help me anyone who is knowledgeable about this prob.
any comment will do...

I have been offered this phone as a replacement for one that has been lost. I have read all the comments - most of them negative. Should I accept or take the Sony Ericcson W 595which I could have instead.

Great phone if to be used as a phone only ... not for anything else. People not happy need to be other gadgets not mobile phone.

what's wrong with the review? this is a mobile phone, and the common expectations are to use it as a phone and SMS, nothing else. camera? it's only a 'good to have' feature .... you want the quality? buy a dedicated camera from canon or nikon. that's it. you need a document reader? buy ipad .... need radio or mp3 player? buy ipod or other dedicated mp3 player. come on, you can't expect an all-in-one device to have the highest quality on every feature it has. the most important, if the basic device function is a phone, let's be it. do the review based on the phone esential features, and not the additional 'fancy' things.
i choose this model because of its sleekness. for me, as long as the device can make a voice call and sms exchanges, it's enough. the quality i am looking for is for these two features only. this phone has the quality for those, plus extra small to be put in the pocket.
the only complain i have for this model is the operating system. it is not stable and quite often reboot the system. this is very annoying, especially during sms-ing. i hope that nokia will release some patches to fix this.

I actually own one and eventhough i've read all your opinions it didn't stop me from buying this sweet phone..yes i know there are some flaws to the design, like when you place it on a completely flat surface, the speaker gets blocked and you won't be able to hear your ringtone, well you just have to live with it, also the camera is not that good but if set to a lower resolution it's decent enough for me, i recommend the 66001 slide for simple individuals. If you're into taking pictures why blame the phone?why don't you buy yourself a decent digital camera, and if your a music lover why not go for an ipod?right?what im trying to say here is that although phones are equipped with lots of things, it does not separate the fact that its main purpose is to be a phone right?

if u want loud sound go buy n73 or 5310 or any other expres music edition those are for music lovers 6600 is mostly girly phone,and the speaker is OK just put it face down it has 1 speaker and 1 hole so dust wont go in the phone and then in front of the display,if u don`t know what youre gona use your phone for don`t buy mobile at all
