in case you didn't knew, WCDMA is 3G (well somethin like 2.7G) and the big antenna is required because the antenna length at ~400MHz must be 4(!) times bigger than at 800MHz to be able to receive somethin. i am no nokia fan but the new additions make up for a new fone release and this is it.

the external antenna is ment to recieve every db that is sended, Nokia said it will be the last device with antenna because it's a testserie...
This year they will anounce another 3 colorscreen-devices.
I think nokia is doing a good job over here, in most cases, the 5xxx, 6xxx and 7xxx are good mobile phones
