i have other s60 phone and this rocks!!!
i´m goin to buy this 6681(6682 in my country)
to upgrade it. i use a 6620 and its very similar, s60 symbian 8.0 instead 7.0 both works with .sis files and both can read N-GAGE games, and the other N-GAGE games who it can read i can load with blz instapp. it plais mp3 stereo and have a 1.3 mpx camera, is enough for me. Nokia rocks!!!

I love this phone.I purchase it in june 06 and now till jan 08 it works superb and speed of this smart phone is excellent.The 7th star is its simbianness with which you can put every type of game or software in it(which is according to series60 2nd edition made for all phones). I love this phone and never going to sell this phone.But i have bought new N73 music ed. Its also very loving but till now i do not have explore it fully so write you later. Thanks

im using this mob for 1 year.
it has only poor screen resolution.
battery back up is high.

i have nokia 6681 for 2yrs still it is working fine,specially the 1.3mp camera is as good as the digital camera.the sound quality is superb as like big spekers and when you use headsets to listen music it,s amazing.the other things about it is its shape is cool

I bought this phone last October. For me is still a great phone. It restarts itself like 2 times a week or less so it´s good for a smartphone has an acceptable batery life (when you don´t use a lot the multimedia functions) like 4 days but if I use a lot it lasts 2 days. Has a great camera (compared to other megapixel phones), a huge screen and very good music quality. I think I will keep this phone for a lot of time (at least 1 year)cause it worth it. I don´t know but maybe it brake the record of my last phone (A 6230 for 1 year and 9 months)

i took 6681 phone 1 year ago first its performance was superb but now a days it is switching off & the phone has become 2 slow even though the memory content is so less..

ive got this phone right now. gr8 at 1st became slow. now unnaceptable. oh well. only gd things are gd camera for a 1.3 and gd keypad. also it is huge and bulky and more for business users than casual users

I only have a problem but to be honest it isn´t very important to me. I can´t run a java aplication like a game when I´m listening to music. But my phone is 6682 (850/1800/1900 bands) so it needs another firmware and I have the latest. But is still a great phone and love it like the first day I have it

Oh it´s a shame that you have problems with your 3gp videos ;(
I haven´t faced problems with that and for that reason I haven´t installed other player for those files. Have you tried to move the D-pad up or down to rew or ff videos?? If that doesn´t work maybe you will need to update your firmware

Is there any other 3GP Player avilable to play 3gp file other than the 1 real player which is already installed.
because i am having problem with farward and reverse the Video and i am not able to control the video,
Please suggest if you know any software, i have tried Code Xvid Player,DVD Player & smart movie but these software doesn't support 3GP files.
Please advice in this regard.

I forgot to answer your first question:
This phone has the same 220mhz processor as N70 and N72 so I think is the same performance but I could be wrong because I didn´t compared those phones (N72 isn´t available in Mexico)
About the contact memory:
S60 phones have the advantage to store unlimited contacts to the phone memory (like 9mb) so you can save thousands of them. To say an example I have 216 contacts and they only need 98 kb of memory.
Yes you can save your contacts to the memory card but that is only to protect your phone memory (a security copy) so you can´t see on the directory your contacts saved on the memory card. I hope this information to be helpful to you and If you have another question please do it, maybeI can help you

To pratish and the guy below me:
-The adaptor I have is the nokia ad-41 (the same adaptor included in Nokia 3250 sales package). With this adaptor I can use my favorite headphones and also conect an auxiliary cable to conect my 6682 (6681 american version) to my car or stereo. All the headphones I tested (sony, koss, apple) have more output than the original nokia ones, but sacrifice bass and for that reason sometimes prefer the original headphones and those have sufficient quality for me specially the bass. I´m not sure if the lack of bass is because the adaptor or the headphones but I think that is the first option. Another disadvantage is that the adaptor controls like play, rew, ff and volume doesn´t work, but I can live with that becaise I know that this adaptor wasn´t designed for this model but is 100% compatible.
-I live in Mexico and here are some adaptors available in selected stores, but I recommend you to buy it on ebay if you have problems to find one.
-And to the other guy:
I recommend you to buy the 1GB kingston rs-mmc.

i saw ur below msg in that you've mentioned that u bought 3.5mm adapter,could you please tell me which brand and where it is available,
and also please tell me whether 3.5mm adapter headphone have more output and better quality than nokia origional headphone.

You can use a 2gb card, but the only negative point I´ve found is that the phone runs slower when you fill the card with music (but only in the music player) so for example the time it needs to play a song is about 8 seconds. For that reason is recommendable to search the song by name and this way the song plays almost immediately.
About an additional player I recomend you the ogg player (is freee!!) and has very good quality and is quicklier than the factory player (it plays the songs immediately no matter how many songs do you have).
And about the go to options you can only add galery items like: pictures, music, videos.
Only you need to enter to the gallery and select the category (videos, pictures...) and when you find that item only you need to enter to the options and one of the last options is: add to Go To. That´s all

and also why i am not able to add more programs into goto (only 3 it will take,that is also only by default)
