Hey u guys,, Ive been using the 6681 since the last 3 mnths but there's been No Problem reported frm my phone. my version shows 3.10.6 & i've purchased it frm a NOKIA authorised dealer, So i cant complain bout it till now. Only Once in the begining i had prob with my Mem card.When i scrolled to view gallery photos, sum files shows corrupted.So i removed the card, backed up all the Data & my files on the Comp. & formatted the card, copied all the files back on the card,,,,& yehh evrythin is normal till date. I think the card needed a better Format frm me & now its just Perfect. So whoever finds their files as corrupted while opening, this wud be the last thing yr'l can do. Instead just remove the card without shutting Off the phone & put it back again....Best of Luck Gys

This phone is very good. The only problem I find is that it keeps reminding you that you have 1 missed call everytime. Even know, I have seen that I had a missed call and checked it.

doesn't have a lot of internal memory, I have a 6230 now, looking to replace it. I wonder if this is the phone?

hi everybody. my 6681 has a problem. i am not able to run agile messenger and the opera browser simultaneously on my 6681. when i open any website on opera, the messenger closes. when while browsing a message is received and i go to check it, the opera closes down. the free memory reported on restart is about 7 MB in APPMAN and FEXPLORER while on my old 6600 it was 9-9.5 MB which didnt have any such problem. is anybody facing such a problem? what is the solution?

I have a problem with my brand new Nokia 6681. When I take a picture and if it does not turn out the way i want and i delete it, everything in the Gallery gets deleted this has happened to me about 5 times now, and i dont press delete all, cause there is no delete all and i dont delete the folder. I want to know why this keeps happening I cant view the Gallery as well cause the pictures will disapear after i view them
Please someone tell me whats going on with my phone and if it needs to be updated the version i have is V3.xxxx if anyone has the link where i can update it email me it

HOWEVER, if you need a trully triband version I suggest to get it from http://www.plemix.com for only $390!
The european 6681 is 900/1900/1800 (trully world phone and will work everywhere in the U.S. WITH T-Mobile of course) American version is 6682 has 850 frequency instead of 900 ( I hate this Cingular!)
IF YOU BUY 6681 (the european version)
You will still be able ( in case if something wrong during one year warranty) ship it to NOKIA-USA ! not NOKIA UK!(since it is basically the same phone as 6682)

well now i am good cause i installed the old version of smart movie player thats why it wasent working when i installed the new version of it which is smart movie player 2.76 its going well..
so now everything is fine for me after that firmware update thanks to this site for giving me knowledge about this thing and thanks to u guyz... c ya

I have Nokia 6681 for about 3 weeks and it works just fine..but i am gonna update the firmware just in case.--->My question is : How do i set a picture from my gallery or one downloaded from the net as a screensaver????...pls_pls enlighten me and all the others that have the same problem ...thanks

Most of the 6681 with V4.0 are working well. As you mentioned abt the movie player, i hv tried with other 6681 users, we found no problem at all. It seems you hv to send it back to Nokia Service Center to re-format the phone & re-install the firmware.
Once you hv formated the MMC card, all of the programs/applications are gone. No one could help but Nokia Service Center.

man this is not good i have nokia 6681
i updated my version with
4.00.15 28-05-05 rm57
and as they say that it will be fine yea somthings are fine
but as they said that smart movie player does work thats wrong...
my smart movie player when i click it , It bounces back to menu plz do tell me wat should i do more to play smart movie player ... thx I am desparetly waiting for ur help and reply ... thx agian

Comparing Nokia 6681 and Nokia 6630 doesnt makes any sense , coz-
1) Nokia 6681 has more resolution screen than nokia 6630 but u wont feel the difference
2) Nokia 6681 camera is good but sometimes it over exposes the colors
3) Nokia 6681 has more treble elements while nokia 6630 has more bass elements
4) Both doesnt have a radio and IR
5) Nokia 6681 doesnt have 3G
6) Nokia 6630 doesnt have flash and camera cover
7) Nokia 6681 is a little bit slower than 6630 coz processor needs to display 262K colors
8) Nokia 6681 battery life is lower due to Flash and active bluetooth
9) Nokia 6681 inbuilt memory is nearly 8-9MB
while Nokia 6630 has 10MB
10) Whomsoever i met till date loves Nokia 6630 more than any other phone and will continue to do so as it is an awesome blended piece of imaging that is the first in its kind.

Hi Guys,
I read the reviews and opinions of this n 6630, both have "stereo" MP3 (a must), but no FM... a let down though :(
Just 1 thing I wanted to know is, though this fone is advanced, still 6630 has UMTS (I beleive) for faster data transfer....I mean maybe its got 65k display, no flash, not cam cover, but still 3G is not just about 2 cams, its about faster transfer of data from the net, faster downloads, as GPRS downloads are very expensive.
My Question is, can I use any of these fones as a modem for connecting to the net to my computer, if so which 1 is better...???
I am asking this coz I wanted to find out about the better data transfer, so I can buy that for use as a modem for net surfing....I know that both the fones have browser inside them, but if we can connect it to the Computer, then maybe internet would be faster and bigger display and better keypad / mouse too.
Please suggest me guys if Any other fone U ppl beleive would be better for internet connectivity would be greatly appreciated.

hi i bought this phone but m facing problem with software now. i can't call anybody from my phonebook or from call register. everytime i have to dial no. one of my friend is facing problem of auto switch off. so take care before u buy
