hi..
i have nokia 7610 and i wana change it to nokia 6681 i read all the advantages and diadvantages i wana know that they all talk about the bug thing on call logs that u can't call from call log and one more thing that the pics from the memory card erased automatically is this things hapning with every one? and can i use my 7610 rs mmc card in that phone too plz reply me fast...

You can remove the cover for nokia 6681
first u take of the battery cover then remove the battery u will see to little pieces of the camera cover over the edge get a small (but strong) hook and gently pull the two pieces out then remove the front cover and ur set

Hi sidsez, the manufacturing date of my fone is August 2005, u can find this info. on the box itself(u don''t need to open it).
Once you buy the fon, type *#0000# on ur screen. It will show ur firmware version.

nipun aggarwal : the initial lot of 6681 had firmware related problems. The new lot (with v 4.00.15 RM 57) is perfectly stable.

Hi all,
How to find out if the fone has 4.00.15 RM57 firmware or not b4 buying, bcoz the shopkeepers dont have that much of an idea and hey dont open the pack unless we pay for it. I just read a post that the fone bought by ARUP has a latest firmware of 4.00.15 RM 57, but he did not mention the manufacturing date of it. so, if I buy a piece, how to know the firware version without opening the package box.

pls let me know guys, awaiting ur valuable suggestions.
Anything else that I should look for when buying this fone.

i was planning to buy nokia6681 but i heard from a lot of people that its software is giving lots of problems...anyhow these days the local dealers are tellig me that new version of 6681 is launched and its going preity well.....someone who has purchased this new version, plz reply...

Hi all,

I too a similar problem..

All the files in the gallery missing.. all the programs installing the Memory Card not showing up any more.. When I tried viewing the Memory Card details from the Tools option. It said Memory Card Corrupted. I just came to know this happened for lot of people owning Nokia 6681. All I need to know is this happending with the Older Firmware version or with the Newer version too..

Mine is the old version - v 3.10.6

Pls let me know your valuable feedback who had this problem earlier.

Hi, just got my brand new 6681 yesterday.
Its got the latest s/w v 4.00.15 RM 57.
I couldn't find any bugs, the phone workd just fine.
Have bought the silver colour, it looks quite classy and upmarket for sure.
Screen is excellent and keypad has very good too. Joystick is the best i have used in any phoen.
MP3 quality is quite good but I thought it could be better. The new headphones look very good and are pretty comfy.
Flash functons very well, pic quality is good too.
Overall built quality of the phone is solid and feels good to hold in you palm.

Overall an excellent phone for the price (lesser than K750i in India)

all the latest mobiles from nokia has no radio
and the blue toth is useful more than infra and the voice of yhis mobile is very louder and better than any other 1 the flash is very useful and it is good looking surely

hi ardhi the flash is normal .actually it works like a digital camera and the flash only lights when a photograph is taken

i had a problem.my camera flash,if i switch it on,the flash is still off.but if i press capture button and flash position is on,the flash just hv 1 click light(like digital camera).i mean,the flash cant 'on' permanently till i have it switch off.so i cant hv it as a torch. Is it normal or my firm ware (ver. 3.10.6 rm 57) is damage? Besides that,my k750,if i swtch on flas,i got the light permanently till i hv it switch off so i can hv it as a torch. Pls answr me. I confuse n i think i'll sell my 6681

hi ! Domas i dont have any such problem .my phone has a new firmware v4.00.15 28-05-05 Rm-57 try and upgrade ur firmware and hope u wont have any problem.and do check ur dual voltage rs-mmc i guess theres some problem with ur memory card only

hi sny it is normal see the intensity of flash lights when it's on its hard and shows effect on the pic taken but when it's off it lights but the intensity is so low that it does not have any effect on the pic .im using it 4 past 1 month and its great

nokia 6681 is a great phone. But i got a problem. Why can't i switch off the camera flash? Even when i keep the flash in off mode, the flash still lights

i have had the 6681 for a while now. i have a problem with the device. it has happened about 3 times till now.

the fist time i was taking some pictures in the (sequence mode). all the 6 sequence pictures were damaged or (corrupted). after a while as i was taking some other pictures i found all my pictures in the gallery were corrupted then deleted+ all the programs installed on the memory card. not only the pictures were lost but also they still occupy their space on the memory card (the memory card is full but there are no pictures!!!) so i had to format the memory card. after a while as i was making some edit to the pictures with the photoeditor application, the same thing happened to me. all the pictures are deleted and they still occupy the space in the memory card. i dont know if this is a problem with the firmware or the memory card? (did anyone face this problem with rhe 6680 or the 6681 before?) (is there any firmware updates available out there that could fix such a problem. (mu firmware version is: v 3.10.6 date 11-04-05 . (RM-57). can i find any help out there...thanks alot

The main difference between the 6680 and the 6681 is, as you said the camera on the front of the 6680 is not on the 6681, the 6681 has 8mb whereas the 6680 has 10mb, and also the 6681 is not a 3g phone whereas the 6680 is.

I like the 6680 for its features but it don't look as nice as the 6681, which one should I but are looks better than features ?

hi i am new here i have request its for all n6681 oweners i need default screensaver of 6681 the one which shows pictures and its features it comes with 6681 and its installed in rom if someone can send me that i would be really gr8ful.u can copy it from rom if u r using fexplorer or any other explorer. thanx

Hi all!

Have a few questions if any one can help me??
1) Wht is the latest firmware version in 6681?

2)Does it hang or restart like initial versions of 6630 6680 did?

3) is the pic quality any better than 6630?

4) How good is the flash?

5) is the lens cover on the back loose, does it scratch the cam lens?

hey guys have u noticed that nokia 6681 is missing a thing which is very uaefull for these kinda fones whers the INFRARED.....screw this fone man its better u by 6260...atleast it has camera memory browser, infra blutooth and each and every function.........
