Since the iphone and it's success with it's app's store, nokia have tried with ovi to jump on the band waggon. Symbian is a little outdated, compared to say android. Where are your live updated screen feeds for weather etc on this phone? Nokia would have been better to keep s40 as even with this symbian release it's still too slow! The processor power is just not matched I feel, thats the problem. Having an updated s40 would be equal to having windows 7 on a netbook instead of vista. This phone should have s40 period!

I am sure this handset will sell, but for value for money, if you don't mind a touch screen from nokia in a similar UK based price range is the 5230, this cut down 5800, simply is I feel the best of the best deal going, I paid just 75 uk pounds, and it has to be said bar the wi-fi and not stereo speakers it is an updated 5800, love the choice of rear covers included, it simply rocks dude!

On the subject of camera's, I still use my k800i or viewty, yes their have been better since, mainly from SE or the korean manufacturers, but the xenon flash does the job in low light, don't like led. Nokia even with the n series, and this seems like a cut down n95, never seem good as camera phones, why not?

It is a shame that before I was branded nuts in my opinion of this handset they did not fully read my account! I stated that the camera to me seemed on par with a 3mp, I STILL hold that view, ditto d pad is not the best example, yes it's a slide figured that out quite quickly, strangely!

everything about this model is great but alas the idiots at nokia forgot to give 3.5mm audio jack which would have been a great luxury considering the price range of this handset.

mr "Tictactaylor" are you nutts ?? this 6700 slide have a 5mp camera.. not a 3mp...hearing you we all can figure out what mobile you have bought...can you read the specs ?? its clearly writen that its a 5mp...so keep checking your phone before commenting on it...mr dumb..

is it avilable in kolkata? i am waiting for the phone for last 5 months .....nokia announced that it would be avilable on the first quarter but now it is the second quarter ...when it will be avilable for retail...or in the nokia priority dealer in the metros of India including bangalore bhubaneswar....

I have recently purchased this phone just basically to review and evaluate it's performance, it's my hobby. Firstly, the screen is excellent but the camera seems more on par with only a 3mp, not good in poor light conditions. The images are grainy in low light, no matter what setting used. The audio is good through speakers, but through headphones lacks amplitude, maybe the headphones have internal attenuation to limit db level, fear of being sued for ear damage? The d-pad seems totally unresponsive at times, it seems to decide for itself what to do. The build quality, minus d-pad which seems poor is excellent. The use of Symbian still seems to make the phone slow, and the phone itself is very chunky. It's the d-pad thats seems the let down and as most nokia's are good for texting and quality keypads this one is not too good. No gps or wi-fi and a low res screen for today's needs. Still unsure the target market for this phone? Not exceptionally good at music video photo or texting only average.

Anonymous, 15 Apr 2010i m also in the same situation and i decided to buy sony er... moreI suggest you not to buy yari, because i' already buy that phone 2 months before. Honestly, i'm very disapointed bout that crappy phone. in think its a fail product. when u store your file too much in the memory it will become lag, sometimes it will hang. except the music player, all the features are crap. thats why i rather sell my yari and change it with other phones.

The phone is thick, bulky and numeric pad is inferior. 6700 or 6600I should be better
