i was vry pleased wit the looks of this phone nd i got it the next day only to find out after some days tht this 1 sucks. whn i got a message. it would take an hour 4 me to come out of the standby mode nd see the message. i had put a 1 gb card in it. as a music lover i put more than 200 songs in it. but to my horror the phone displayed only 100 songs in list. it would even get freased nd restartd on it own. sorry guys but the phone is not worth.

Stay away from this phone like the plague.
Almost every webpage I go to errors with error on page, cannot view.
Can't send MMS messages with Cingular service. Only Calls and SMS for $350.00

Nokia 6708. I'm lucky to have it. Bought it in Venezuela in nov 2006. Not a very popular phone, so it's not easy to find. You might think this phone is just for business. As a lawyer it’s been very helpful, although i think it works for anyone. It's an excellent phone, and you can also use it like a palm (reads word, powrpnt and excel). Sound is just excellent (as loud as you want) for ring tones, music files. Great video, music player and recorder quality. It comes with 3 games, but you can install as many as you want (java 2.0 & symbian). Fast and stable internet connection. Remote sync, file manager, calculator, photo-album, voice recognition for programs, voice calls and memos. Outstanding contacts list, to-do list, calendar for work agenda, handwriting recognition, usb cable, irda and bluetooth connection... you can even use it as a remote control for tv's, dvd,s, vcr's, air conditioning, and many more.. 32 mb of memory (not 18mb) and a slot to install extra SD or mini SD memory up to 2 GB. The processor is a Texas instruments (TI OMAP processor) same as palms, and listen to this: It has Dual Cores. This OMAP processor "cleaned Intel's clock, finishing the test in less than one-third the time". For those who think it’s a little bit slow, leave the internal memory as it comes and install extra programs, games, data, etc, in the external one. It is an unique phone, even better than newer ones, so if you have the chance to buy it, don't lose the opportunity. There is a Mexican company selling 1.000 phones like this one, even with an extra battery. Check the link. Cheers..

people are complaining about the software ie they cannot install 3rd software.
the reason behind this is they would have been installing s60 softwares and not uiq softwares.
that is not their fault becoz nokia have been producing s60 cell phones for a long time and it is their 1st cell phone to have uiq.

People, you should think about what you're writing here!!! Is there only stupidity out there? A Symbian based cell phone starts always a little bit slower because of installed application! If you format your phone and just run it with basic SW on there then it is as fast as others! BTW: Sony Ericsson K800i is getting very slow if you only install a few games in the phone memory - awful! And people who do not know how to write on a touch screen, ... - well, sorry guys! the wrong phone for you!

Do not get this phone...it takes AGES to even write a simple message.. and it takes even longer to switch on.
