Seems to b good phone. Dont know how it would act up if memory is upgraded. anyone who has? and can someone tell me how to activate/use the "built-in handsfree" option?

dam cool phone it's work very easily in pc
and the sufing is too gud by pc i am using
this phone frm last 2 months
need to improve the cam only

To connect to your PC, make sure you do not have any other Nokia suite installed on your machine. I faced this problem and removed the other suite and this worked just fine. Also ensure that you install the USB driver from the Nokia 6708 CD.

No problem in setting MP3 as your ringtone. Go to profile setting and then ringtone. Select find sound and you can choose your saved music.

I hv bought this phone a month back and very happy with it. I hv Mobile Office on it and realy work smothly. Only problem in this phone that I'm still not able to connect to my PC. Can any one help me? One more drawback, it does not hv T9 function, but rest is good.

i read your mail and my experience is that you don't need to worry for the key pad as it is there , alternate to hand writing.
be happy & smart with nokia 6708.

Hey i've used the 6708 for a couple of months and sold in a low price just to get rid of it. It's a totally bad phone and it didn't impress me at all. I totally like touchscreens and like the latest technology. But 6708 is a real pain in the neck. Its interface is totally complicated and using it is a complete mess. You have to refer to the manual even for just simple functions. It looks quite impressive at first but you might trash it once you started to use it. I'm even wondering if nokia really made this. I'm using the N90 right now and I find it to be a lot better. SORRY!

Well, it looks a LOT like the Sony Ericsson P900 (or P910) with a better camera. I think it's rubbish. Nokia is really behind in technology.

If you want touchscreen smartphone handset,why don't you try SE P series or the new one M600i? But M600 doesn't have camera. Just an advice.

I am planning to buy this revolutionary unit from nokia really soon. I have asked many retailers already about a certain feature and still they haven't answered my query.
To those who already own the Nokia 6708, i would like to know if though the keypad is not T9 capable, does it have an on-screen keyboard (just like in palm devices)if i choose not to use the handwriting recognition feature of the phone?

plz tell me hows the sound quality?? is it as good as the nokia 3250..cauz tht phone's sound sure roxzz.....i am about to buy a new phone..so have to decide between nokia 6708 or 3250 help me!!!

This is a bad phone, thumbs down, something that is not expected from nokia. Its got the most difficult interface, and u need to refer to the manual even to make a phone call. The stylus is a slag, u practically cant do anything without it. The handwritting recognition is fine, but u will come across a lot of problems wen writting larger words. There's no t9. The operating system is very difficult. The screen shuts down to save battery , to get it back u need to press the pwer button, nothing else works.
Any nokia users planning to switch to this model- just try it out at the dealer ,, u'll need the manual even then....

Well.I'm not the least impressed with this phone.Mainly because of the lack of flash,slow bluetooth,no letters on the keys and because of it's enourmus size!I've seen it first hand.It's huge!

I have purchase Nokia 6708. its dam good phone. I am facing the problem in connecting the Phone to PC with Data cable. I have installed data cable driver......Can anybody help on this....
