This phone was my first and last Nokia ever! I started to have problems with it after about two weeks. GPS lock takes forever or it simply just doesn't lock. Sometimes Nokia maps crash and the cheap plastic started to come off at the back of the phone after about three weeks (the part that makes contact with the car mount). I'm very disappointed with this phone and will not get another Nokia ever again. If this is the kind of products that Nokia has to offer, I’m not interested!

T, 20 Jan 2010yep, got my 2nd one yesterday, what can i say, taking it ba... moreI would like the phone if everthing is working as they should but the zooming and freezing problems dive me nuts on hot days its the worst. I have send it back within the 7 day period they have tested it and say nothing is wrong and sent it back to me.

never had a zoom or keypad problem...

I had this phone for a month now, never had problem using it, I upgraded the firmware after I bought it to 022.013 and also format the phone memory card and install a new set of update maps.
Browsing if great, WIFI signal is strong better than my mini notebook. Camera is good even at night.

experienced the same problem.... 3 phones down the line!!!!!! initiating zoom function on its own and keypad freezing when texting... gave the last one back... still looking for a decent nokia phone with similar features... any ideas

Took it out on a contract upgrade. Experienced the zooming/keypad freeze thing.Sent it back.I received another one only to have the same problem. sent it back as well. Waiting for the THIRD one. If it still happens im demanding something else.

Got the phone on a $49/24mth plan 2 days into contract phone freezes up removing/replacing battery fixed problem, 10 days later phone automatically shut down wouldnt power up, been in for repair for 4 weeks now Provider has sent me replacement 6710 first day first go on facebook and ebay zooming problems back to repairer next day so now two 6710 phones at repairer with no fix date given, what next, This is the worst phone i have ever had in the last 15years totally unrelliable, I have a friend whom repairs nokias for one of the big providers and he tells me they are having a glut of them at the moment, If nokia had any decency they would do a recall on them.NOT HAPPY if you have one that is faulty notify your provider straight away and also your TelecommunicationIndustry Ombudsman (TIO)to log a job with them it puts a lot more pressure on the provider than one little voice.

Hi All
I had the phone on the 08/01/2010. and returned it on the 09/01/2010. I also had the zooming and keypad freezing problem. I am awaiting my OBF report to see if the will give me a new one. Can you please help. I see on this site it say life time Navigation. I got a pamphelet in the box that say 2 years drive and life time walk. what is it. and if it does stop after the two years what can i do.

Has anyone found an application that works on the 6710 which can turn the LED on so you can use it as a torch?

When I press the # key on my Nokia 6710 Navigator phone my phone does not go on silent it show the following message: Change outgoing phone line? Yes or No.
Please help me to rectify the problem. I want it to go on silent when I press the # key.
