My nokia navigator sucks the wear ant tear is not good on this phone, the phone keeps giving problems, Today I found out that Nokia in Midrand SA does not do repairs on phones anymore? Cant wait for my contract renewal, Think this will be my last nokia

Anonymous, 13 Dec 2010I love nokia - loved my old Navigator! Don't like this phon... morei had the same problem. 2 replacement Nokia 6710 had same problem- apparently it's the software on this model was not very good. The dealer said they've seen this problem too

my sms notification icon keeps flasing at the top of my screen yet i dont have any messages in my inbox.How can i remove this ? Also i installed magic key and it works for the zooming bug but my key strokes still takes a while to respond when i type messages is there any way for me to resolve this ?

I love nokia - loved my old Navigator! Don't like this phone - got it March sent it in for repairs - got a new phone - same problem - zoom in and out all of the time and the keys doesnt work - I cant sent it in again because I cant be without a phone for more than 3 weeks again!!

Just purchased a 6710 Navigator. One frustrating feature - the zoom jumps between maximum and minimum just by moving ones fingue anywhere on the phone. Is this common?

Since I was afraid that breaking them would not allow me to mount it again, I went to a GSM service center and I simply asked them what to do, showing then also the pictures found here and they simply did the job for me for just 5 Euros ! Since then I wouldn't change my phone for everything else on the market ! Maybe for GAlaxy S, but does it worth the money ???

i work at a very busy phone store.. the amount of people who bring this in with problems is rediculous!!

The phone is the best thing that has ever happened..Its strong, durable & user friendly i must admitt...Never expirienced any problem thus far since i had it from January 2010....Well done Nokia!!!!

Michael, 13 Nov 2010You phone is faulty. Get it relaced under warranty. Go to N... moremore like nokia DONT care centre. the guy i took my phone to was extremely rude.
i told him about my issues and he said it was very unlikely i would be getting the phone replaced.
this is the second time that i have had to put my phone in to be repaired. major inconvenience.
will not be purchasing a nokia again and will be spreading the word of the issues and poor customer service from nokia with many others

The phone is great, its GPS is the best.
although the volume of the internal and outer speakers are bad.
also it's quite slow in general.
but i have to admit that this is the best nokia phone i've used

gershwin,6710 nokia this is ur handy computer,this is a phone for netbrowsing,da zoomimg nd keypad problems is not a big deal, ones dat is fixed..ooh? It wil blow ur mind just lyk u i using an windows mobile..we dont count it.compaire this phone with an n97 da are same exprience.

I got the 6710 because it was the phone with the best specifications for the price. But mine had the “zoom bug” which made the GPS and internet unusable. My service provider was prepared to swap the phone with a different type. But I liked it so much I wanted to see if I could have it repaired first. I took it to my local Nokia service centre, GMS repair, in Bloemfontein, South Africa, it only took a day to do the Nokia prescribed mod and now it works perfectly!

To disable zoom bar touch.......simple instal magic stick and configure it.....my phone works like charm now

can someone plz explain why my phone automatically has the internet, w map selection mode. i can't ger rid of that option and I think it consumes by battery, i have to charge nearly every ot day. sometimes it happens while i am busy with a call, then my friend would ask why is my phone buzzing, any advice coz its quite annoying i bort the phone in july 2010
