Even i'm one of the biggest Samsung fun, i have to admit that this is the only one budget - slider qwerty cell phone... But if you compare this with Samsung F700, you'll see that Samsung F700 had a bit better specs of this phone and had the same price and also had been launched in 2007...

i was going to say this is a poor mans ? but cant think of a fone that this is a cheaper version of..often companys bring out a cheaper alternative of a top end fone with lower spec so people can afford it but this is an awful fone

I don't know why this phone is getting so much (negative) heat. The design isn't that bad. Just look at the 5220. The design makes the phone stand out from the crowd. The only thing that could use improving is the display;there is just too much space on the front of the phone. Not that 2.4 is not enough, just that it looks kinda bear... The lack of wifi isn't much of a handicap in my opinion. I ditched broadband internet connections in favor of unlimited mobile internet and am paying the same amount of money. It's gonna be a tough decision to pick between this and the 5730. The later is pretty much inferior or similar to this phone except for 2 crucial factors: this one should be 80€ cheaper and also will have an extra 500 miliamps under the hood.
Ps. I sure hope nokia will bring back the n-gage/3300 design? The 3300 was (and still is) my alltime favorite phone. This comes close to those, just that the d-pad is no the wrong side...

Nokia why have you wasted so much space on this mobile advertising your name as the lcd screen could have been alot bigger if you could have put your name just above the front keypads,Nokia want some new Designers in Quick as the one they have now have really lost it,an thats why? the "N" series as got worse not better from the N95 8gb,so get something done Nokia your losing ground nowdays

i've no idea why nokia create this phone design like wheel choke..2.5 jack?no video cam?i believe this phone wont achive any target from selling...and eeeekhh!!!disgusting...

upon all oddity, this phone looks better than Surge! it must have been due to the yellow buttons on the QWERTY that matches the screen or perhaps its front position in the picture rather than the slightly tilted image on Surge.

I like the design. And the juicy 1500 mAh capacity. But WHY 2.5mm audio-jack??? 3.5mm should be the norm. Why dont they get it?
