Hi........I'm considering an upgrade to this phone later this month but have a few questions.....perhaps some of you can help?

I read somewhere that there are only 4 ringtones available on it...is that true? In the spec. it implies that there are about 46!

Does the swivel front work well and does it make the logo appear upside down?

Is there a facility on the handset to switch between silent and normal phone ring - I currently can change to silent just by holding down the # key on my current phone, rather than having to always go in to the options selection.

Can you change the wallpaper to different themes or is it always orange?

I currently have a Sony/Ericsson and have had their models for the past 3 phones so am not sure if I want to go back to a Nokia, but S/E don't seem to do much that I like at the moment!I haven't as yet found a local store that has this model in stock to have a proper look at it!
Thank you for any help you can offer via this board!!
I may well move to a longer contract time so don't want to be stuck with something that isn't any good!

regards,
DD

A question for 7373 owners. Im from singapore here and just got a 7373. Very cool phone. Just remember the stereo headset that comes with it sucks. use the normal ones thats being packed in by 6280/6233 and you will see a great improvement.

Ok my question is, in the specs here, it shows that the battery is 840mAh, but the one that came with mine is 700mAh. What mAh are you guys having? its stated at the back of the battery.

I have a few questions for those of you that already have this phone:
-Does this phone have speakerphone capability?
-Does it slide open easily when you push?
-Do you have the option to change the screen background color, is it really orange?
-For the video, is there a time limit on recording?
-Is there more than one alarm that you can set, will they turn on even if the phone is off (like many Samsung mobile phones)?
-Can you set it in vibrate mode at the same time as a ringer?

                                  Thank you!

I'm going to go out on a limb by speaking proper english in my post, contrary to most of the other postings here, so let me kno if I need to gve u a translation uf dis ;).

I'll start off by giving you a little background information on my current position. I had been toying with the idea of buying the 8800 prior to purchasing this phone. Why, you might ask? - Simply because I liked the look, exclusivity and quality of it. So before anyone replies that the 8800 is an overpriced, under-featured piece of junk, hear me out...

I purchased my first Nokia from eBay about 3 years ago - The 8890! The phone still works flawlessly today, and I absolutely love it. Sure, it might have a monochrome display, and features worthy of a calculator, but it works and it works well, and that's what counts most for me. Despite the fact that when I bought it, color displays were the norm, it still turns many-a-head.

What I'm saying is that, like with anything, it's impossible to find the perfect product - there's no such thing. That's why I stand strong behind my belief that anyone who makes a post bashing another user's opinion, or makes a statement like "this phone is a piece of crap", is quite ignorant. I'm stating this primarily because of the opinions that I read about the 8800; the opposition in my case to the 7373. A large portion of the posts accused it of being overpriced and not comparing to the likes of some of the more feature-rich N series phones, without respecting the fact that the phone is a statement of wealth and good taste, not unlike buying a Ferrari. Chances are, the corporate execs and CEO's who are buying the 8800 are less-than-concerned about the phone's mediocre camera, and lack of memory card. They probably aren't going to be concerned with the fact that they can't fit their entire Tupac collection on their phone, like some of us might be...

Moving on to the case in point, I'm currently awaiting the arrival of my 7373. I decided, like many others, against the 8800 because of its lack of features - not because I am particularly opposed to limited features (I still use my 8890), but because I find the 7373 and 8800 both to be stylish and unique. Because they share this common ground, I thought I ought to opt for the one with more features.

I'll be sure to let you all know my thoughts on the phone when it arrives!

                                      Happy shopping!
                                      Alex.

A memory card is a must for this phone!
