I've been experimenting with the video recording and discovered that it's only jerky on 640x480. Switch to 352x288 and it's sooooo smooth! The zoom quality is stunning for a phone; it seems better than some cameras. I love using my fone to film stuff i.e. aircraft flying overhead and was dissappointed by the jerkiness but using 352x288 I am now happy and looking forward to filming loadsa stuff over the summer.

I've been using this phone for a year plus. It's a great phone but it does have its problems. 1stly, i had to send my phone to repair, actually changing the entire lcd because the inner screen would just remain blank everytime i flipped it open. Apparently, it's the problem most commonly faced. There was also another nokia 7390 exactly like mine being repaired for the same reason at said shop.

I've just bought this fone off ebay for £90 (the black chrome version!!!!!) and I love it! There are a few minor problems - the dim screen, the video has a slight jerkiness, the lack of a glass covering to protect the main screen lcd, and the volume is low when listening thru earphones (it's bloody loud when listening thru the stereo speakers!!)although it does muffle SLIGHTLY when the flip is closed due of course to the speakers being on the inside, but these are only minor problems. I love the speech recognition and the ability to have the fone say anything you type in and the outside buttons to control music player etc and the power on/off button (compared to the usual red phone key).I'll have this fone for a long time!!

This fone is really great!!!
I love this fone too much but due to some problems.... yani software maybe its not working now and non repairable... If anyone knows how to fix it... HELP me coz i love this fone too much and it is memorable for me... NOKIA 7390 Your the best....

It is clear when it rings some people want big ben chimes! Its a phone an its great.

I also have this lovely device for almost one year by now. Last time when I go to China for work, one day it got a big problem on screen, shows abnormal display. But just on that day. And now it works well as past when I back to home.
Maybe it just don't like China :P
And, it is loud enough for me even when it close the shell and use mp3 as alarm clock. Maybe it's the problem of the volume of mp3, and this phone it not so suitable for busy people.

its rubbish fone......
First wen it rings its not to be heard clear as its a clam shell.....dum thing....they shld make one speaker out side also..
second wen it goes to time mode if thr is a miss call or a message we cant see tht on the outside small screen.
whts the point of a mobile wen the main features r not thr.

i have this phone for almost a year. i found it very stylish for a girl like me. my phone turns to black screen (sometimes) and after a few seconds, it turns back to normal. the display of my phone was minimized. why is it so? pls email me for answers.
... i also asked some cellphone technicians regarding the upgrade. they said that i can get upgrades through internet and get new softwares. but how?

I've had this phone for a year now and I love it! Never had a problem at all, it's never let me down. The camera quality is good and it has more than enough functions for everything.

Both my mum and I are using this phone. She's technologically illiterate and I'm a gadget freak, we both love it!
My previous flip phone was RAZR v3i and there's too many problems with that; poor OS, horrible display, limited features, etc. This phone, on the other hand, while bulkier and heavier, has better OS, better camera, better contact list management, and better just about everything else. I also carry an HTC Hermes with me, while that makes a great little computer, it's dreadful as a phone.
I really like the themes that come with it. Perhaps it's just an unnecessary gimmick, but it gives a nice touch.
The only problem that I found so far, which I haven't solved yet, is that the phone cannot handle too many messages. It starts to act funny once they reach about 1000. And I don't think there's a way to set automatic deletion, which means the inbox needs to be cleaned out periodically.
Too bad the design is considered feminine for some, because this is a flip handset from Nokia that I'd give thumbs up (they produced horrible flip phones in the past).

I suppose the price depends on where you get it from and where in world you are mine was off of ebay an its amazing phone luckily mine was in good condition a good quality phone i love mine
