First things first.
This is a masterpiece from nokia,Really proud to have this piece.been thinking over it for a month and finally i decided to go fot it.
I just wanna ask is there any way i can clear the icons on the desktop and have a clear desktop without icons just have my wall paper also can i diplay customized message on the desktop.

i know everyone is sick of hearing about firmware updates, but does anyone know where you can download it or get it done here in the states? thanks

Just bought Nokia 7710. I need 2 know some basic things about functioning this piece. First thing is how 2 close various programmes? As it may be consuming RAM.

i have the v4.01 but there was problem in it.
when i set the downloaded themes the handset
reboots.did any have this problem.pls help
me.pls pls pls pls pls pls pls............

all of 7710 users check this out, the phone can make sega games work with full screen, all u have to do is to download picrodrive from that site my-symbian.com then thousands of free games will be availuble for u at this site freeroms.com for any more info. or any help help u can post me on my email

Hello 2 everybody! I bought a Nokia 7710 a month before. I'm happy about this. It works fine till now. I have no problems yet. But I expected it working faster. In my opinion, it's a little to slow. I had 6110, 7110, 9110i, 7650 before. The package for 7710 contains a lot of accesories. The sound, the camera and the FM radio work OK. I'm satisfied. On a scale from 1 to 10, I'd give a 9. So enjoy Nokia! But yes, I have to admit, I'm a fan of Nokia. Does anybody know where could I download some free games and soft for 7710? Bye-bye 2 all of U!

Iam a not so happy owner of a Nokia 7710.It is high tech like the space shuttle but minus the silicone tiles--ha!ha!ha!.i had almost 50 --fifty-complaints about the phone.
No indicator for speaker or headset.go to dialler and you cannotcometokeypad.speaker button takes you to recorder now and then.Find is painfully slow.contact display poorly designed.camera brightness and contrast not practical.hangs at the drop of a hat ----my fingers are paining.i cant type any more....but the list goes on

i have a nokia 7710 phone which is good bt hv 2 issues :
how to open zip application directly on phone from net n
secondly how to upgrade firmware.

hi, where can i get the latest firmware... is it there on the net for downloadin? coz the slow working is irritating me too. nd does anyone know where to get some applications for this phone other than yahoo

Hi,
Does anybody have the original SW packages that come on the phone. I reformatted mine and now am trying to reload the SW. Unfortunately the supplied CD has none of the original software with it.

Once u upgrade ur firmware version its no longer slow it runs very smoothly.so upgrade ur set with the latest firmware version.

It looks to be a master piece at first glance. But I have some concerns about the slow opening of applications. Need some more reviews on the same .

For all those who are in India and planning to buy this phone the prices have been slashed considerably,its between 18000-19000 definately worth it, i am buying this week will share my experiences with u soon.

Hi there ... i juz wanted to share my xperiences wid dis fone which may b of sum help to u b4 u go for it..
Pros:
1.Its a NOKIA
2.Nice camera(although i felt the cam of my previous 7610 was better)
3.Gr8 sound quality..probably the best in its class(even the p910 is nowhere nearby)
4.Superb Quality screen
5.Pen input quite precise and quick
6.All latest softwares provided by default like word,sheet,presentation,opera..blah blah blah...
7.Enormous memory(with built in 92mb + 128mb mmc provided by nokia)
8.With its latest price slash- won't b a bad buy
Cons:
1.Too big to b called a fone(looks like talkin wid a diary with the case closed)
2.Almost next to impossible to carry in ur pocket
3.Software bcomes too slow at times( if u dont use switcher to terminate the already running programs)
4.Vulnerable to hault(unless use switcher)
5.Quite difficult to talk with it for long.
6.Rather difficult to make instant calls or msgs(hav to use both hands)
7.Battery not as good as claimed by nokia(although its got a large batt)
I've been using dis fone for over 2 months now..and am quite happy with its features and performance...I'd rate it 8.5 outta 10 on 1-10 scale.If u get da right softwares for da fone and hav a light hand while using it..it wont disappoint u. Hope my observations on dis fone may b of sum help to u....

Bought 7710 a month ago. Love it and having some problems too such as it hangs often, slow to switch from programs, and problem with downloading/uploading files, maybe firmware needs to be upgraded. I am in Canada, and called Nokia Canada, no support for upgrading for this model. Can anyone out there tell me how to do it from Canada? Many thx! jim@aitcomputer.com
