No clue why this was discontinued. Best phone i ever had as a kid! Bearing in mind i was born in the 90s though so unsure why people in their 40s are still having moments of nostagia. Oh well, let it roll people will do as they will. Don't buy a battery for an old nokia before considering the newer models though - some are the same spec (although be it with colour and poly ringtones) as this one. Just newer for the same price. Away - treat yourself to a new one. Canne beat a bargain eh?

What? you pick an ancient Nokia over a blackberry? Are you wise? Don't get me wrong i was having a wee nostalgia moment looking at the specs for this phone, which i remember fondly owning when i was about what, 8 or 9? But buying a new battery for a phone that was released over a decade ago.. emm Nokia have released heaps of new (basic.. if that's what you're capable of) phones since then. Choose one of those for the price you paid for your battery. Mines cost £10 when my phone was away getting repaired. Which was a 'Crapberry' as you put it. Came back as a brand new phone instead of a repared version of my old one. Can't complain at that can you.? Free £300 phone. #missacheekynokiabutthey'redeadnowmoveon

at the moment im using my blackberry 9300 and i have just brought a new nokia 8310 battery!!! i cant wait for it to arrive so i can use the 8310 and get rid of the crapberry!!! I LOVE MY NOKIA 8310 BEST PHONE BY FAR even now with all the smartphones id choose my 8310 over all of them! xxxxx

It doesn't worth a fortune, but it worth more than those low end new phones.
I had 2 of this ones.Sold the worst one (bad battery,bad cover), for 20eur.it was bought for 5eur!
I've seen people offering 40eur for a mint one (Without box!).
Anyone tried the BLB-2 batteries from Momax?
Out of my 3 original batteries (old) only 1 in fine.
Original ones are hard to find and must be old too...
Any oppinions?First I ordered one from dx.com @3 dollars, but I guess it will suck

Actually, I am already planning to sell my old Nokia 8310 coz I don't use it anymore and are not using it for a longtime. But after reading some interesting points here from different users I changed my mind.
It's true that this phone are very easy to carry because of its small size, are lightweight, and has modern attractive design. Voice call are clear. I would just make this my backup phone in case I need to use only call and text.
Maybe if there could be some kind of "collectible" mobile phones then I think this could be one of the list.
I was wondering if there are some kind of mobile phone collectors out there just like vintage guitar collectors. That this nokia phone will be worth a fortune. Lol!!!
