if the 8310 has a COMPOSER and a SCREENSAVER.... it would be gr8... dose any one know whn will it arrive in the middle east...?

Now Why wouldn't Nokia release Tri-band phones instead of doing versions for Overseas ?! that is so frustrating and discreminating when nokia make a phone that Works on Europe, Asia, and Africa, while the America's has its own crapy looking phones ? like this awsome 8310 is 8390 in USA. in My opinon that is so Stupid they should make their phones Tri-band always so it can work everywhere, The only Tri-band Nokia phone is the 8890. I have the 8890, .. and wish also to have the 8310 they are the best phones ever till now.

If i had lots of cash perhaps i will try out T68...seems to be a phone with lots of potential .
But basically , people would neglect the most impt thing which is how fast the menu runs . For eg , if u type the sms in fsat speed but it process it slow...causing lots of troublesome .
SMS is impt and should be make it as efficient as 8310 . The ability to load everything fast...imagine opening the inbox at a very slow speed like SL45 .
These things are to be considerate...
IN the other hand , bluetooth , GPRS , Wap are not of very impt stuff unless u are a business man and require to be connected to network pretty often .

V5.03 out in Feb in Singapore...
Composer & Screensaver included...
Waiting desperately for it .
MAny have confirm this to be true instead of juz rumour .
If stabiliy problem solved...i would say this would be a perfect phone with all these add on .

Got it for US$ 325 in Singapore .
Bought the pure white version . V4.53 updated . Despite the few hang i still think its a very nice phone...Love it more than my prev 8850 & Sl45 .
Nokia inside news have confirm by FEb , a new version 5.03 will arrive with COMPOSER & SCREENSAVER . Cant wait to have it done .
If stability problem solved too....i would say this is my perfect phone . Juz lack of that colour screen...hahaha !

Try this bug: writte an SMS and then choose "Clear Text". Immediately after doing so, push * 2 or 3 times and see what happens...It will recoop in 30 secs or so ;-)

I have owned the 8310 for about 6 months, and its awesome. Couldnt be happier. Have had no problems with the phone breaking, and have dropped it numerous times. No software faults, lots of sms space, and love the Mob,Home,office,fax under one name. Get one asap.

nokia is running out of ideas and out of date .. all what they do is change the cheep plastic covers they use on their phones..but inside its the same old stuff..u just pay larg money for the a new cheep plastic cover !!!!

this phone is very good compared to its predecessors. Mine has no custom ringtones option . V3.07. However very fragile and delicate i must say. Overall good gadget i mean phone :)
