If looks is all your looking for, this phone plays its part. Its something everyone wants;and for those complaining about its functionality, they dont have one.

ive had the 8800, n90 and a few others. I found that the 8800 (as everyone may now know) a crappy battery life. It was probably one of the best phones i've had, so i've passed it onto by lil bro who really wanted it. now im using the 6233 which not only looks like half a 8800, but has kik ass features and the battery is still going!!!

but yeah, the 8800 is a sweet phone... many people were too cautious about using my phone, let alone touching it

Eric, for a start this phone is chunkier and bigger than a d600. I am sure people would prefer to buy a D600 for 150 quid, than a 8800 plus ipod for 700 quid; unless they have too much money and they dont know what to do with it, which is like handly noone. But i do admit ur rite in that nokia will get a few sales, from people who want to show that they have money. But considering how much money was spent by nokia to develop this phone, nokia have got it completely wrong, and infact have lost money bringing this phoneonto the market.

Sayinthen (RGS)- Yeah you could do that, but this phone in gangster. . .
Buyign it for the sake of buying it, its just cool. . . Some tiems peopel get caught up in the features of thier phone. . .Then they buy an ipod n relaise they dont want a chunky phone to do a few extra things n jsut wnat a small good lookign phone that will keep its price and be gangsta...its way kooler to slide than a d600 And the fact that you could buy 3 d600 for the price of this one tells you anotehr thing

I work at a phone shop... both the 8800 and the sirocco are aimed at people who want to look good and they want people to know they have a lot of money.. as for the price... the rrp is waaay above cost price, it is VERY negotiable :d

This phone is a joke. It is seriously overpriced, and i swear my D600 both looks better and performs better than this phone. Noone in the right frame of mind would buy this phone! You could buy 3 top range phones, i.e D600, N80, E900, instead of buying this phone. It would be like a 100 times more worth it. What has this phone actually got that makes it very special?

Have used the phone for one week now. It's a T-Mobile USA version 8801. They gave it to me at a huge discount. They will negotiate. Anyway, some of the problems mentioned in these postings are not true--for me.
                          Performance:
Same as my Razr V3 and Samsung D500 and D600
                          Features:
Same as most phones--but I must admit the menus are not as intuitive as Samsung. However, still better than the Razr V3
                          Camera:
Better than Razr but much less than the D600. Sony would be the clear winner.
                          Design:
Elegent. I have smaller hands, so the size of the keys are not that much of a problem. However, they are a bit cramped at times.
                          Battery:
Lasts all day with only one.
                          Signal:
Same coverage and signal as all my other phones. Cleaer voice. Bluetooth has no problems and works better than on the Samsung. Has more bluethooth features than Razr.
                          Price:
You don't have to pay so much. And unlocked Euro version is a different story.
                          Overall:
It's a nice phone but a bit over priced; this is due to the construction. So, the same phone in plastic would be free to the masses.
                          Needs:
Memory Card Slot and included cable for PC.
                          Extra:
                          Software for Macintosh.

The price of this phone will course the sales to be very low.The market now is at the hand of razor because this phone is too expensive.I like this phone but i didnt afford to buy and i decided to take Razor V3.

This phone is too expensive! It is better to buy Razor because it is affordable and have nearly similar features.

the overall design of the fone is nice n elegant. materials used is with quality n have read that some materials used like the bearings were borrowed from porsche, german sports exotics. however the battery life is terrible. using it for less than a year, and the battery breaks down.I only get around less than 30 MIN talk time at a full charge. planning to get a new replacement battery, cost me around 45 US$. unlikely for Nokia to produce such a low quality battery for such a great designed fone.

i was thinking about getting this phone but, looking at the features it looks like a low-end to mid range phone.. it doesnt even look that nice.. SO why is it so expensive?
