Koureas you really need to read peoples comments properly then you may have a true understanding on what people are trying to say.

Most of the people on here including myself have owned a Nokia 8800 that's why they are making there feelings clear of the ladies basic handset that's well overpriced.

So please be clear Koureas or maybe you need to learn more English before making actual comments and learn to read properly.

Nokia 8800 is a overpriced handset with basic functions and it's getting old and boring now so please keep away from the handset there's loads of handsets out there that laugh at the basic 8800

      Excellent phone.
I still love it 100%. Although I also encounter the same short battery life(still last me a full day with a lot of business calls), but a full recharge only require a maximum of 1 hour........unlike other phones which takes 2.5 to 3.5 hrs. for a complete charge.

In regard to some previous posts about the design and style of 8800 equal the price of it,this thought can't be more wrong.
Expensiveness is not always synonym with design, style or quality.
Nokia 8800 is an overpriced product without a reason. This phone has nothing to show or you have nothing to expect from it.
If you want a bibelot or something to show off this phone is for you.
If you want a decent, reliable or good featured phone this Nokia 8800 is not for you.
In market there are better alternatives.Simple as that.
Nokia 8800 is an expensive and not worthy phone.Nokia should be ashamed for this rip off.

I bought this phone from the first day of its release, expecting that this Nokia 8800 as an upgrade would be better from the previous 8-series models but i was wrong .(Even 8910 is better and classic than this).
I used both versions 3.60 and 3.78 and none of them work properly. Surely this "phone" has low battery life, functionality, performance and many software problems. It's an expensive and not worthy phone.I wouldn't have a problem if it was a decent, reliable expensive phone.
I agree with the most negative reviews on this phone.
As for the fanatics owners of this phone they should be real, see 8800 problems and not praise or defend this phone without a reason to do so,saying again and again the same cheap excuse that people is jealous and can't afford it.
This phone was a waste of money and time.Believe it or not.

          Luke :

I have brought a total of nine(9) 8800 in the past year, I am very happy with my very last one(3.78v) because it is absolutely faultless(unlike those other seven which I did encounter different small problems. The other one was a present for my mother; nine months ago.....she is very happy & still using it).
I dropped mine on the ground(cement) on a rainy day 3 days ago & the four corners of the metal case was all damaged. I am waiting for my 10th 8800 to arrive next week.

I buy mobile phones all the time just for fun
I have tried so many of them, but to me; this 8800 from Nokia is still the best!

          regards,
          phone player

            Man,

First of all, this phone is made from steel.

Secondly, this phone is delicate but tough......,so Nokia did not say if this phone is meant for male or female. It's none of your business who it's meant for.........it's just not for jealous people like you!

Have to disagree with you there, The nokia 8800 is a basic phone, all you are paying for is the titanium case.

Open the nokia up and it's basic, so really Nokia made a titanium case placed a very cheap handset inside it and

Been out too long and there's too many handsets out there which laugh at the 8800

The features are horrible on the 8800.

For those who disagree all you have to do is read all the negative feedback on the 8800 tin phone there's loads i've been having a right laugh.

8800 is for those who like to be truly ripped off, handset was intended for the rich but the handset is basic

I've had friends who had these handsets mainly girls.

The buttons are small so the real man out there would keep well clear from the 8800.

                  Handset is a womens phone

Doesn't matter how wealthy you are, the 8800 is a ladies phone with small buttons that is overpriced.

The cheaper phones out there are worth more than the Nokia 8800

The Nokia 8800 aint worth it

The 8800 is a ripoff and definately not worth the price

Inside the 8800 is a basic cheap phone, open it up, u be thinking to yourself why did I buy this basic phone

You can buy & use the other cheap phones, cheap cars etc. This phone is definately not for you!

Thankyou for your Austrilian comment which made me understand the mentality of your people!

Over priced or not really depend on who you are talking to!!!

I am wealthy enough, so to me the price of this phone is cheap!

To the normal people who is jealous of the wealthy who own this phone........too bad!

Anyway, this phone "powerful" is made for the rich & famous!!! It does not suit & not meant for the cheap people!!!

Ive had this phone for about 4 months now it is i can say the MOST beautiful phone in the world before this i had the k750i and the samsung t809 abd the pebl but this phone is much superior to the rest. The only problems ive had is that the battery life is too short at least for me cuz i talk a lot and my reception isnt very good which might be bc of t mobile and i can say the phone is not over priced at all and its a beauty. If your a phone freak like me its a must have

The Nokia 8800 is all hype, i've had this handset and I handed it back within the 14 days.

                                The worst handset ever

first of all phone sales people can definitely afford it in australia telstra pays very well just maybe not where ur from , secondly this phone is extremely overated it has a good design but its price is pathetic you can get something a lot better for a quarter of the cost.

It may be the case that expensive cars are ni8cer but not with phones in this case im afraid

                                    hi,

just wanted to point out this phone is like all in the same line before it (8850, 8910 etc), it is a quality phone with all the features a grown up mature (business?)person could want, as previous models show no matter what the price is many wont mind paying it to not look silly with a out of date phone 2 months after buying it, on that basis nokia are doing it all right with this phone as with all the ones before it, one thing guaranteed - people will still want to buy this in another 6 or 12 months due to the style and "charisma" of this timeless phone long after other models from competitors have come and gone just like the 8910i an so on.

                                    Phil

                                      I Agree with Lucus

There's definately no reason why the 8800 should be expensive because it's quite basic and it's been going for over a year now.

Nokia really need to start thinking and designing a new version of this handset and make dramatic improvements.

Nokia seem to be bringing different colours out and getting logo's on them and overcharging our customers.

That's why Nokia are always going to get negative feedbacks, for those who have the handset and are happy it's a good thing but me personally i've had the handset and wasn't happy with it after seeing other handsets out there which beat it.

I got mine on a free upgrade but wasn't happy with the little buttons as i've got big fingers.

Maybe this was designed for the Women.

People might have more respect for Nokia if they brought the price down for the handset and stop been tight especially if the handset isn't worth the price they are charging.

Nokia are running out of ideas.

Look at LG, they have brought a excellent phone out at a good price, Nokia needs to start adding new ideas like LG.

Nokia 8800 is for those with little fingers, it's hard to text but if your a lady go get the phone, or if you want to have the ladies phone go ahead

It's still overpriced and the new LG Chocolate phone makes the 8800 look like a crap phone
