I suggest that who had problems with their 8800 tell us what version of software the phone use. I read that the phone who use the "v 3.78" version, has no problem at all, only the old software version have problems

Hi everybody. I really love this phone. I want to buy it and I have the money for it, but I'm afraid to do that because the opinions I read. What the hell's happening? Half of you had serious problems with it, while the other half really enjoy this phone because it works very good. Is this a problem with the soft, or what. After I read about 20-30 opinions I start to belive that buying it, is just like a russian roulette. Can anyone (who has it), tell me what's the problem? THANKS

I have had my 8800 for four months now and am really pleased with it. I have had Samsung phones in the past among others but the 8800 wins it for me Easy to use and looks great. The scratch resistant suface works too! Personally I think that the 8800 is a good buy.

This phone is not capable even for the main purpose of its creation which is to make calls. From time to time is switching off by itself,so you have to be anxious when you have a phone call conversation or when you try to make a call.I wouldn't recommend this phone.

i tried out my phone yesterday by calling a friend of mine for 90 minutes, and it still have 1 block of battery left. after finishing the 90 minutes chat, the phone was hot, and battry low warning start coming up, but that's after 90 MINs of calling. as for standby, simon ki, i had this phone to last for almost 55 hours before charging, with occasional calls. if u mean the phone cant standby for 8 hrs, i think you had a faulty phone or battery, because mine seems not to switch off by itself, neither the battery last only 8 hours. i always had the other spare battery on standby just incase the one in the phone flats out, but it seems the phone can last till i get home everyday and put it to charge.. just fanta-bulous...

I've been waiting 4 this great phone for 5 long months and got it this monday. Well the design is great, super stylish phone but I sold it 2 days after due to his battery which don last even a day.
I cant afford to buy a phone at such a price and to be scared when some1 call me in fear that the battery drop down.
Also it lacks functionality and low memory but that was not important for me.
So think well before putting your money in such phone.
hope that my advice can help.

For the fanatics owners or people who likes this phone they should be real. You can't criticize others because you like this phone or don't you want to see the major problems of this phone saying as an excuse that they can't afford it or is jealous.Jealous of what.Knowing that this phone has major softare problems ,ie:switching off by itself and not only, i wouldn't want to buy a faulty phone just because of its look.

Piece of art, nice to look at all the times. It has only one problem, I bought it three weeks back and it switched off by itself for two times. In general, it is a fabulous luxurious phone....if you can afford it !!!

many people seems to have a faulty or dissapointing 8800. life's like that, you win some, you lose some. so far i am lucky that my 8800 live up to what i expected from it. anyone who has a perfect functioning 8800 will enjoy it. to those who dont, it's just too bad.
