I had Nokia 8800,8801,8800 arte before, they sometimes turn themselves off with no reason. But most of the time, they work fine. I can use my 8800 arte as a wireless modem now when I am not as home and save some money on wireless internet service if I buy a wireless card.

I have had every nokia 88 series from the first one which was an 8810, loved every one they come out with, even though they all had there own fair share of problems. i currently have the nokia 8800 arte and i think its the best 8800 serires they have ever come out with, however it still has its own problems, when you go on video to open one it crashs and restarts the phone, the touch sensor is too sensitive, when you are on loud speak or playing a track it keeps coming on, and they could have done with putting a flash on the camera, put people, remember stop conparing the phone to other handsets on the market, this is a fashion accesorie, if you want gadgets go for something else, if you want something to look good with your car and posh livestyle then 8800 arte! all day long

i have had the phone for over 6 month now and it has spent 2 month being repaired .the phone keeps freezing up and you have to take the battery out of the back and reset it . the battery is shocking one full charge and it last three five minute calls .for a phone at this price i would thought i was buying an aston marin but i bought a 20 year old clap out old banger.do not waste your money!

Ok folks, after reading pages and pages of comments on GSMarena.com I am definitely going to be buying a Nokia 8800 but what I need to know is going on looks, and looks alone, what is the better phone to go for? Is it the Black Arte or the Carbon Arte? I only want to hear from people who actually own either of these phones.
Many thanks, Lee

I have this phone for about 3 months now, and really love everything about it except for the stupid dust that has collected on the LCD. At first i thought that i was unlucky, but after some time i realized that my friends' 8800 arte also collects dust on the LCD. Which i really feel to be a pity when you pay so much for a nokia. But i guess that's how those ***** koreans assemble stuff (8800 arte is made in Korea)! :(
