UGLY phone!! just for ELITE class who have so much money to throw away. I would prefer Nokia 5610 instead...

I find this 8800 arte very elegant. Just like owning watches, for some people(who can afford) having several phones for several occasions is important.. for business meeting, have an nokia e90, for outside leisure activities, have a nokia n95 8G and for formal parties or special events have the nokia 8800 arte.. for me it sounds cool and as long you enjoy the individuality of each phone, there is nothing wrong.. so please dont compare nokia arte with e90 or n95.. they are designed to meet individual meticulous taste of having a mobile phones..

This phone will be released mid-February. That is when Nokia is sending shipments to a tier 1 store that my friend owns.
Personally, I've already settled on the Arte because of Sapphire's leather cover. As noted from many Vertu users, including my Dad, the leather used will turn "Grainy" after time. Like a suede texture. Little bits and pieces will start flaking off due to the leather's mixture with sweat.
Stick to the Arte version of this phone. You'll be glad you did.

andrew, this phone is more expensive than those with better features because the materials used to create this model are very expensive such as the sapphire D pad and the steel... this is actually not just a phone but a jewel as well...

Andrew, you have a wrong stand from a start. You are not supposed to buy this phone for its technical superiority, but for its elegance, style, and nobel materials. Shure, you can buy 3x N95 instead, and say, "HaHa", l have better features then yours Sapphire art, but your phone will look like a cheap plastic bag compared whit this hotie.

Why cant people write proper reviews. Heres one now. I have just bought 5 of these phones. They are so good that I have decided to use a new one for every business day of the week. :) (Only because the battery still doesnt last long enough)

With the mediocre software features of this fone *well, based on what it says here*, it's a fone for those people who have some bunch of benjamins to burn. But if i'm rich, i'll surely grab this one. Cool and Classy Fone.. =)

I Love Nokia , when it comes to 8800 edition :-) i think its time to think more about the materials we are using . think about the old Phones , they were made of wood , metal etc. now they are precious and antique. why ? because of their soul :-) lets bring the nature back to our life in a modern way like this.

Can you people please take note that the 8800arte and the 8800 series arent intended to tidy your room etc theyre there as a phone and the odd feature..... go buy an archos if you want vids etc
this is for style and exclusivity
please just get over it :-)
