I liken the 8910i to a diamond - exclusive, expensive and beyond the reach of those who worry about money.
It doesn't have a camera, video player or other gadgets, but hey, nor does a diamond.

It feels sooo Good to use Nokia 8910i :) already have another phone too. (t610)
8910i is not a multimedia phone, well thats O.K. I bought it cause its stylish for many people and for me too. 8910i is expensive and doesnt give you much functions. BUT it is 8910i right? it is a fine etiquette. Some of u wont understand and some will. Damnn it is looking cool in my Java Black Range-Rover :D

well,
if they broke down, what can i say.ill right again one year from now agreeing or disagreeing with you.
as for style,it only a matter of taste and opinion. Some like it some dont.Doesnt mean that if you dont like it and think its a piece of sh** that it actually is,right?
I;m answering to those that say that is OBLIGATORY to have a camera on your phone. So if you do own a digital camera,a minidisc,a portable mp3 player and a palmtop, and dont care about your phone having a camera, then you are not one of them. The 8910i is a practical phone depending on how fast you care to get use to it.If you never had a phone with a sliding door, then it might take you a couple of weeks more to deal with it.
i think that phones with tones of features are much less practical than older ones,or new ones with nothing but the neccesary.
As you see it all boils down to what every1 considers NECCESARY,so i won't argue anymore.Say whatever it pleases you!

i have canon digital camera, sony D-NE1 for audio. i don't wanna carry an extra plamtop wherever i go. i need a pratical phone not a stupid expensive phone. even if you does't use the functions, it does't means everyone is not using it. anyway, i never like picture taken with handphones, the quality sux. And i'll never buy the 8910! even the look of this shit sux

yeah DMX,dont over react to what im saying here.Sure if you want to make a call, buy a beeper and a telephone card, and stop at every phonebooth if you must....go figure
As for the mechanisms, they look much more well constructed which means that by the time they start to brake down, the new 89xx series will be out,so you wont need to worry about that.
Sure go buy phones with VGA camera on board and lots of those stuff. They come in handy especially when you are callin someone....These things are for 14 yearolds....

SIM free this would cost about £500. What do you get for your money? A jazzed up 8310! Ok, so it is colour screen but it has no camera. It is quite bulky and the pop up phone part will get annoying after the novelty hs worn off. Take the battery cover off and you find it is very plasticy.
Verdict - Another Nokia white elephant!

People, this phone is not intended to do all those other phone gadgets do!If you want pictures taken, buy a digital camera. If you want radio, buy a walkman or an mp3player with radio. If you want internet and memory, use a palmtop!!!!For christ sake, these things are telephones!!!you use them to call people, not play around games and take pictures.I gave up my 6610 my friends, just because it did all those nice things, and had capability to do more, but realised i had no use for them!!The only things you actually want from a phone is good battery life, good signal, and a fairly good telephone list of names, nad a calendar. Now you can probably get a phone doing those things for free.Well if you like to have a phone with a little class, and finace, then yes,you pay the bucks, you buy the 8910i.OK???

Yes, it looks nice and yes, it's supposed to have class, but NO, it's not the best phone or anything.
Best rip off phone manybe. You can buy other phones out there that are cheaper and has more class than this man..
This is just 'seen' as a classy phone because of it's price. If you actually placed this phone next to some other phone in the market, you can see that it's not that classy. The design of the phone makes it look big and bulky rather than class. The only think which makes it have class is the 'PRICE'.
