Before Nokia Ericsson was in Business and for ur kind inf, Nokia use were into Oil business, the pioneers in this field are Ericsson and now sony ericsson, Ericsson are world leaders in wireless infrastructure, they have invented Bluetooth tech also and sony ericsson are doing great in mobile phone business. so don't boast about nokia, if nokia is great, sony ericsson is also great.

        Cute.It's got fax, a processor, a mem.
Unfortunately, it has not got OS;it has grayscale display;one band only.
It has lived its days, but is still useful.
        Sadly, it's discontinued.
        Nice phone!

Geos is a ROM based OS, the corrupted INI is the modified version in RAM Reseting it would be enought (look for hard reset procedure on google) You would lose any add-on program.

Does anyone happen to know how to go about repairing the GEOS.INI file?

I still have two of these phones, and i am looking to fix them.

            Both have the GEOS.INI corrupted.

the processor is 24mhz, however slow that seems, was quite sufficient for the phones capabilities, I have just listed mine on ebay, its immaculate and is fully boxed up with all accessories, 2 original genuine batteries, leather case, all manuals, charger and the required adaptor, unlocked for voda and o2

I've just bought one of these off ebay for £32, the seller has stated that it is unused and in new condition, i've bought it simple cos its old and if it is as s/he describes, it may be worth a bit in future, i have a question tho, the intel 386 processor, is that 386mhz? is it quicker than the current processor in the xda mini s? I won't be using the handset i'll test it tho, bought purely as a collector's item, so the technical spec makes no difference to me

Up to my third communicator the 9500 now. Not sure why anyone in this day & age would want a 9000. The replacement battery would prob cost more than a brand new light weight phone. Maybe they want a paper weigh.
