            moh'd:

You can upgrade the firmware of your phone to get an updated version of the browser. The upgrade shuld help for the problems you have with accessing various sites.

            See this page for info:
            http://my-symbian.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=29219&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

Yuo need to go to a official Nokia and leave the update to them. If your phone is new (still under warrenty), the upgrade is free.

I am looking to buy a 9300i. I would like to use it with Blackberry connect push email. I have had a couple of retailers tell me it does not work with Blackberry but the Nokia site says it does. Who do I believe? Does anyone have any ecperiance of using this phone with Blackberry?

If you can help I would appriaciate it.

I agree with Jonathan that phone cameras are toys that was why 9300/9300i are the real phone. The trend now is that cheap phones come with cheap low megapixel camera so phone manufacturers install high megapixel camera to expensive phones because camera is the magic word that sells phones. If you all worry about the camera of the phone then buy a good camera and a cheap phone because that way you satisfy yourself better. Why? because no matter how good a phone is today in no time it will be overtaken by a new phone almost immediately as soon as you have just bought it.

Why some buyers of 9300/9300i face performance problem is because they probably purchased the phones from unscruplous dealers. For instance in Malaysia why a 9300i cost different is so wide between a dealer with Zitron warranty (expensive) and AP warranty (cheap)? Be careful with which dealer you buy your phone.

Next time when you buy an expensive phone, take time to go thru the menu and check each of it is working per the manual. Never believe what the dealer told you, believe your own self.

I bought 9300i about 3 months ago & faced software problem during initial 2 weeks time. The phone used to Hang simply & i had to remove the battery in order to bring it back to life. Software was required to be re-installed by the company who provided support. In fact, I wrote to Nokia as well about this but there has been no response as yet which is surprising & anoying. Its response is slow, and at times when you try to redial a number it starts reading the Log? so far, i have not been able to find software for this phone like FM radio,Prayer Time etc. I had good experience with Nokia 5140i, it is fast has many applications. I expected that 9300i would have more applications & would be fast but unfotunately it has not turned out to be like that.

Hi!! This phone is great!! Have it now for around two months. I have Apple mac and i thought is going to be a lot of problems cause software that comes with it is only for pc but to my suprise no problems, works fine with isync on mac. i can transfer all my working files from office on mac and send and receive faxes as i need that to run business properly. Overall, great phone for what i need.

I had nokia 9300i 2 months ago,it's working just fine, the thing is it needs a camera, but when u seek for camera + business phone,u should go to nokia 9500 which is big in size,in all cases i see this phone as a great one..

Seems like a lot of people experience similar problems with the 9300i ranging from "reading log" and memory error messages to delayed answering of incomng calls. Most of these problems are caused by only one default setting that needs changing!
The 9300i stores in a log all voice and data call details made and received. The log's default setting is to keep all this data for 30 days, but this fills up the internal memory quickly if you make and/or receive a lot of calls. You can change the default setting for the log to free up more memory by following these steps:
Open the cover and press the "Menu" button. On the toolbar that appears at the top, scroll to "Tools", then select "Log". The log will display on screen. Now press the "Menu" button again and scroll to "Tools" again and then select "Log duration". Change the log duration value to anything less than 30 days (5 to 10 days works fine, which ever suits your needs). Just as a tip - dont make it too few days as your redail function on the green button takes your recent calls from the log and won't show those calls you made a few days ago. Changing the log to 8 days worked for me and all those irritations and frustrations disappeared!

Hi guys just wondering how people find the lack of Vibrate alert when the phone rings. aside from the comments listed on the forums the only concern i have is the fact that the phone doesnt vibrate. Does anyone find this annoying???

I've learned to live without the vibrator and cheapo camera. I do know I can't live as effectively w/o the 9300i. (It is a welcome replacement to the 9500 which malfunctioned after dropping, and probable embedment of kava dust, moisture and rain.)

The user interface is the charm. It's easy and intuitive to input entries. A touchscreen and/or stylus would not be necessary as it just means more smudges or potential of losing another part.

As for the lack of a vibrator there are workarounds:
                                  1. check every so often
                                  2. turn up the ringing volume
                                  3. raise your awareness of its ring
                                  4. check when *you* want to check (your convenience)

The phone cameras are just toys and were never a favorite of mine and I could count all of maybe once or twice I used this feature in lieu of my digital SLR.

The way everything works together on the 9300i makes it the best buy for my businesses. With its updated wifi (g), bluetooth 1.2, and smaller form factor - being much more pocketable - it serves as a happy replacement for the 9500.

The other non-communicator smartphones generally have too small a screen width (< 640) and lack in keyboard comfort. Plus they're Windows based - a natural suspicion of expected frequency of crashes and viruses.

If you've tried the Nokia 9300i you'll appreciate its elegance and completeness.

have just moved to a 9300 after my 9500 broke (i had it three years and loved it despite its size). I am so disappointed with the 9300 i am going to send it back! It is much slower than the 9500, and the little joy stick thingy on the inside is far too small to use properly. And don't bother with synching with your computer - you'll lose bits of information from both! And no camera! Who makes a phone these days without even a basic camera! Come on Nokia - you are better than this.
