Nokia 9 PureView Indian launch seems imminent
The Nokia 9 PureView was announced back at MWC in February and ever since then it's been a long wait for Indian fans wanting to get their hands on one. That may all change very soon, however.
The Nokia 9 PureView, specifically the version with the model number TA-1087, has now been certified by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), which is a prerequisite step for starting sales in the country. This means the launch of the Nokia 9 in the subcontinent could very well be imminent.
In fact, HMD Global has been teasing its flagship's arrival in India since March, so it's high time this actually happened. As you're probably well aware, the main selling point of the Nokia 9 is its unique penta camera array on the back, with 2 RGB and 3 black&white sensors, all 12 MP f/1.8. There's also a ToF camera, and a 20 MP selfie shooter on the front, above the 6" QHD+ 18:9 OLED touchscreen.
The phone is powered by last year's Snapdragon 845 SoC, aided by 6GB of RAM and 128GB of non-expandable storage. It runs Android 9 Pie and has a 3,320 mAh battery.
