Nokia C7 photographed from all sides, appears on video, too

19 August, 2010

The rumored Nokia C7 has been through a few rounds of spy shots and now it showed up yet again, in the most detailed photo session yet. The Symbian^3 handset will likely be one of the announcements at the annual Nokia World event in mid-September.

The Nokia C7 stars in an extensive photoshoot

The Nokia C7 will be a mass-market alternative to the upcoming N8 flagship. It runs Symbian^3 on a 3.5" screen with nHD resolution. However, the camera has 8MP resolution and it's paired with a dual-LED flash. No word on the video recording just yet.

The usual set of ports

The C7 has a microUSB port, but not microHDMI like the Nokia N8 has, along with the traditional 3.5mm audio jack and 2mm charger plug (it should charge over USB though). The Nokia C7 is powered by a 1200mAh battery - a different model than the N8 has but with the same capacity.

The camera is "just" 8 megapixels

Strangely, the Nokia C7 has Call and End keys on the front, unlike the N8, which has a single button on its face. The bronze material reminds us of the plastic on the Nokia N97, which was great, but it's no anodized aluminum.

Here's a video walkthrough of the Nokia C7 hardware.

And here's Symbian^3 running on the C7 - it looks the same as on the Nokia N8, which isn't unexpected.

Save for the camera, the Nokia C7 is almost an equal to the N8. With its inevitably lower price, it could be a great alternative for those who find the Nokia N8 pricey.

We hope we'll get more details about the C7 at Nokia World.

I have no idea where you got Core from, but the C-series if for CLASSIC as it was meant to replace the lineup of style oriented phones like the 6500 Classic and the 6700 Classic and so on and so forth.
