startup apps are made for p.c. startup means automatic executing program files or softwares that can be seen in screen firstly everytime when the p.c. or c.p. is turned on. It is a like a progran called autoexec.bat, a batch file in MS-DOS command of Microsoft. In our modern tech, we have now a pc-like gadgets like cell phone. Thanks to Nokia because they have an OS SYMBIAN in their c.p. It is like a windows OS overwhich can be installed many programs. One of those is POWER BOOT (from cer.opda.cn/en) That program will run automatically and you can add more apps as many as you want. But it differs from startup of nokia itself which is a built-in program that runs every time you turn on the unit from its off condition. You can flash your phone with new firmware that support the arabic font
Or you can instal fontrouterman, this application is to change your font character, n you can use your ttf file from your PC

Anonymous, 07 Nov 2010i have almost the same issue in usb connection.i cant use b... morei don't know what's wrong. The usb connection would work when i choose mass storage, my pc can detect my phone as a mass storage device so i could still put music,pics etc. on my pione but if i use pc suite the connection is disconnected. What a bummer!

use e-mail, run some snooker and chess games when bored during travelling and listen to its nice music player whenever I need to (like during exercising or walking). It never restarted or hanged, except once. And that is not something so big to whine about

Whichever country you are from, it really does not matter, this phone will make you happy.
The only thing that might not be upto your expectation is the camera, which is just a mere 3.2MP. but the phone is business phone remember. You can not get such a all in one phone like this at a good and affordable price anywhere in the world

Just convert your movies to either mp4 or wmv format. I did convert a lot of music videos into mp4 yesterday, I used h.264 video codec at 23fps and aac audio codec at 128kpbs 44-48Khz, Frame ratio at 320X(variable). All the music videos are compressed between 10-19Mb with very high quality for the phone.

Its been one week since I bought E52 black.
Why I like the phone:-
It has wide display but still SLIM hence pocketable.
Really fast processor. I tried playing mp4 videos of different frame and bit rates, It is fantastic to see it plays so well any kind of videos even @29 fps and 500-600kbps.
Battery performance is outstanding.. I would give 10/10 for the battery alone.

I'm confused to buy this phone, E52 or sony ericsson elm.. both are great to be my first phone. The features of sony are better. I need your opinion guys. Please reply.

Its a nice business phone. To solve hanging and restarting, kindly upgrade the Software version to 051.018. It will solve the problem. Dont forget also to read the manual or go to Help for you to know what to do.

ge, 07 Nov 2010its been with me for 5days now..so far no issues except tha... morei experienced that too...restarts automatically when attached to USB, and sometimes my theme turns back to the default one..O_o
