I fix my E52 at Nokia Care after waiting 22 days I get my phone swapped with the new one with new IMEI..

The C5 is available on the internet here for around CHF220 but in order to buy through the internet he will need to go through the process of ordering it (sadly this is often more complicated than simply phoning and offering a credit card) and they will need to have a 'delivery address' to receive it - not too easy for a tourist I suspect

After nokias quality its services r really very poor in every country. In india they operate thru hired agencies. Again whose main aim to get money from nokia in every respect. Anyways,
as i have told u earlier, one of my relatives is on a tour to swiss n will be back this mnth end. I was planning to ask him for a c5 probably fin or holland make. Should i go with dat. That is without wifi. But he is asking a bit high price. Chf299. Which is equal to e52 price worldwide. It is nt released in india yet. I am also a nokia fan like u but feels very disappointed with it not fulfilling its customers expectations.
i request u to tell c5 price in chf. I just want to cross check d price, because in my knowledge it shud nt go beyond 200chf without sim contract.

It is an E52-1. This is the 'European' version of the phone, the E52-2 operates on different 3G frequencies and the '-1' and '-2' are are used to differentiate between the two versions. It does not refer to 'Feature Packs' or indicate that one is 'better' or 'newer' than the other as the features are included or changed via new firmware versions
Incidentally I doubt that the 'made in xxx' means very much in practical terms. The parts the phones are constructed from are almost certainly all made in China and the 'made in' probably actually means 'assembled in'. A bored, underpaid Finnish assembly line worker screwing plastic mobile phones together is probably rather similar in (in?)effectiveness to a bored, underpaid assembly line worker in China or Korea doing the same job. The important thing is the quality control and this seems to be lacking here in all production plants
The previous model, the E51 was a *well* assembled phone, but that was made in Germany and I believe Nokia have since closed the factory which made those(!). Product quality maybe doesn't seem to be as important to them as it is to the people buying their phones
Yes, my E52 is clearly a lemon. The problem is that too many other people seem to be ending up with 'lemons' of this model and now the question for me is whether Nokia are going to replace mine or perform yet another repair. I will be thinking very carefully before buying any further phones from this company after this experience. Sad as I've owned Nokias for the last 10 years

One thing tell me dat is ur set is E52-2( with feature pack 2) or E52-1(with FP1). It will be written on the box.

Arrrggghhhh! I finally got my E52 with broken D-Pad (arrived like that new) back from Nokia repair today after nearly one month of wait. They had fixed the D-Pad but now the volume and camera buttons on the side don't work!!!! I'm asking them to give me a new replacement but I bet they don't

i avoided dis phone since its launch in india. But two days back bought it for my younger brother to gift. I will keep it with me for another one week to test it. I never recommended this phone to other but in d last bought it for my family. Still feeling strange. Actually i wanted to have it from europe, two days back i saw an e52 in a big box with navigation mobile holder in the box. Couldnt stop myself to purchase it. First of all i asked the dealer dat i want to listen its sound. To my surprise i found its audible and was perfect. It gave me strength to bought it @ 11905 INR. In starting it was not coming with navigation stand which u can use in ur car while driving to navigate. This unit is made in korea and i think is with feature pack 1 as it is written on d box E52-1. I have not reviewed it so much so far. But on the gud side. I have found some feature very useful like advance call manager, font magnifier, internet radio etc etc. On d bad side, i still say dat its signal strength is not very gud especial in weak signal areas. Web experience is also not very fast despite its 600 mhz processer, its really surprising why browsing is so slow. I have updated it to the latest firmware, but these problems r still there. But i am happy dat my units volume is satisfactory. Battery is no doubt gud. I have got it with 2 gb card. I have updated my office document with editing. Call clarity is good n up to the satisfaction. I also wish dat my anonymous friend from switzerland must read my comments whose cell is still in d repairing centre. Anyways, cell will be in d house, i will also use it with from time to time by giving my n73 to my brother, when i will be needed this. Anything else? Do post ur comments to share.

hey i have been using e52.the phone is good but now a days it gets hang and later shows a message "error: system erro". my phone automatically restarted twice... and sending a sms takes a lot of time ... now what do i do???

by the way guys, i even use my e52 to answer questi0ns here ang p0st my 0pini0ns. I upl0ad my pictures fr0m my ph0ne to my faceb0ok and friendster. I can edit my ms office files 0n my ph0ne using quick office and send it via email. What m0re can i ask f0r.

reply to jeet. The c0mpass is in the applicati0n f0lder,go to gps and the gps data is the digital c0mpass. Using this applicati0n is n0t free, i can't use it just using my wifi c0nnecti0n.

reply to an0nym0us. Wifi c0nnecti0n of this ph0ne depends on h0w fast your internet c0nnecti0n. Battery life is really great,nn pr0blem with that. I can br0wse the net, chat 0n nimbuzz,send an sms while listening to the radio. The s0und quality is n0t that l0ud c0mpared to SE ph0nes but it fairly makes it up f0r its user friendliness,great keyb0ard,and it d0es n0t lag. I d0n't use skype but i'm p0sitive y0u can do skype here, just d0wnl0ad nimbuzz in ovi at chat away. D0n't d0wnl0ad to0 much and be careful what to d0wnl0ad. I d0wnl0aded w0rld traveller but i uninstalled it but its imp0ssible to delete.enj0y this ph0ne.
