These units that are causing so much problems are TEST UNITS of the First Batch and Nokia is still testing the consumer defects that are found. That is the WISDOM behind not rushing in to buy the NEWEST units but to wait for the later batches that will have STABLE SOFTWARE and better build quality.
SO wait until the newer units arrive with all defects corrected already.
Personally I love this phone because of its awesome battery life and slim profile, imagine having a thin ipod like phone in your front pocket listening to MP3 music. But I am willing to wait until the dust has settled and the phone software problems have been eliminated.

i using e52 from 3 months.i have not restart freezing and voice issue.

E52 as in excelent. Specially for businessman. Best phone I ever had.Technology at highest level.

TC, 23 Dec 2009why is it so bad??? are the freezing and restarting issues... morei have the ophone for like 2 months? KEEPS FREEZING - AND nooo stability! and the shortcuts/menus are like 2/5 - could be soo much bettr and quicker. its annoying.

Srsly for all you whiners...if you got problems with restart/crash ..bring it back to shop and get new one..i had to take my phone back to warranty for 2 times til i got new phone..it works fine and gps started to lock much quicker lately without a-gps...
I have had NO single crashes/restarts etc...you got broken version

This is the worst phone from nokia. The rating of the phone is totally wrong. People always go for the brand not for quality.

there is something terribly wrong about the e52. just look at all the user reviews.
i suggest you don't buy this model until nokia has come up with the stable batch.
the first units to come out look like they are meant to be test units with a lot of problems.

My experience with e52 remain worst so far. i have encounter 3 problems.
-self restart when surfing through meanues.
-Call muting(one-way) especaily when call get longer.
-complete hang-up and need battery/power reset.
NOKIA WAKE UP WHAT YOU SELLING!!!

I upgraded the firmware to 022.009 and now my camera app does not start-up. Every thing else seems fine. Now i have to send the phone back to Dubai and have it checked or replaced.

I had E52 model E52-1 (use 022.009 firmware) made in taiwan more than 2 weeks.. My phone never get restarted only slow down when use it in multitasking, Great connectivity in HSDPA and WLAN (can be my computer modem thanks to usb charging support i never worried my battery dropped), nice audio quality, Great application and battery life, nice camera quality, slim metal design, best in value.. I Never regret buy this phone.. One of the Best Nokia E-series phone..

This E52 Nokia phone seems definitely be a piece of faulty hardware, of buggy software and inappropriately designed.
A large part of the opinions contradict the "Exceptional" review from GSMArena.
I propose to the author of E52 review at GSMArena to finally wake up and review its own review. At least give explanations.
If the author keeps "sleeping" with this "Exceptional" review, I would think he is paid by Nokia for doing the review.
Furthermore, I suggest all the readers to boycott this webpage.

hi
this is my second S60 before buying E52, i had 5320XM, it was amazing it never restart. it stall working i had it for more than one and half year it it restarted only 3 or 4 time because of bad application only not the OS.
the E52 is a total failure it restarts 3 or 4 times a day, it restart when i call,charge,using wifi, connecting to pc, suddenly it freeze and stop responding and it refuse to turn on. i sent it to NCC and they said the software was crashed,they upgraded the software and after 8 hours it's crashed again.i'm going to NCC tomorrow.in iraq the NCC refuse to change the handset. so i thing i'm going to send it to trash if it keep restarting.
i thing the problems founds on the early shipment of the phone my phone 355221603 (17) xxxx7, my phone is 17?, i read the forum, recent IMEI look better that what i concluded from the forum.
e52 is my 5th Nokia,after this phone i want to use something else like samsung any one have idea about a good device have features like e52
