E52 use two microphone system for noise cancellation. For effective use this function, must keep the speaking mircophone as close to mouth as possible. This is written in the user manual. Don't complain the microphone department.

Having struggle for one day, I can sync gmail contacts and calendar to this phone. Both gmail and hotmail push to this phone to.
The sync application suports syncML. Gmail mail only support contacts syncml. Setup a sync profile for contacts.
Goosync's free a/c supports sync google calendar, set up a free goosync a/c, and setup a goosync profile.
For push mail, e52 support multi push email a/c. I setup my working gmail, and private hotmail a/c. Both push to my e52 promptly. Faster than desktop computer's email alert.
Gmail has better sync functionality. For email sending from e52, it keeps a copy in sent item folder. It also sync read item and deleted item.
e52 has better push email than exchange. Exchange can only sync one email box. E52 can sync multiple email boxes.
Since e52 use a nokia middle server, I guess nokia will charge a fee in futer. Maybe this is the drawback.
This phone work very well with gmail.

I Would like to know the price for this good looing, attractive and well featured Nokia E52. I am in Namibia and would like someone to tell me how much he she boujght it for, so I can convert that into Namibian Dollars. I really want it. Nokia is best.

My phone turened out to be a dissaster! After only 2 weeks of use I hate the Unit, and made my life misarable. it's definitly last Nokia ever in my life.
Radio Error --- Reboot.
Camera Error --- Reboot.
WiFi Error --- Reboot.
GPS Error --- No reboot just A-GPS.
Talking while phone on charge --- tlf buzzing sound.
Low GSM Antenne performance.
I guess I need new software update! mine is 021.013 TYPE RM-469

A full featured and very affordable phone.
yup. it's plastic not like e51. But then again it's much harder to scratch.

I bought it just after it was reliesed worldwide (bought it in Lithuania (Europe)). My handset is made in Finland. So I have this phone for a long time (comparing to others).
So here is my opinion (after 2 months):
I have read much about software problems, but I have never had any faults. My device works perfectly and there were no freeze (except one time after very long call I was browsing phone menu very quickly and there were some programs still runing, so it was my mistake). No resets, no freezes (by it self), no faults. Handset works very good.
I have only one remark... Accidentaly i droped my device on solid ground and "metalic" edging, that is all arround handset, was damaged just a little, but it is enough to see, that it is not made of metal, but of plastic. Only covered with metalic paint. So I answer to some your questions about it (with my disappointment that I was so not carreful) :(( well at least this damage is so little that it is not very important.
In conclusion - after two months of high usage Nokia E52-1 works perfectly as in first day. So DO NOT take seriously opinions, saying that this phone crashes, freezes or resets a lot. Just buy E52 phone from trustworthy seller and you will have no problems with it.
P.S. I have question about GPS and ovi maps. I need tu turn off voice in ovi maps, because its trial version has expired. Do you know, how to do that? Because I can't find how...

I'm changing mobile on every 3-4 months across different brands. my experience with it is not well.
E52-1 is a very good phone on paper, but in performance it is the one of the weekest phone.
Receptions is very bad, call quality also very bad that other party can't hear well.
Speed of the phone is good, so for 1time it crashed.

We r all discussing pros&cons of this phone,yesterday I made videocall but sound out of loudspeaker very low,too bad for such nice phone,any of u people out there noticed that&picture was not crystal clear dont know why Any suggestions?

It has a long battery time and nice design. However it unfortunately has some software issues. Major thing is noise cancellation that also blocks your voice in a noisy environment (like in the train or space with other people talking). Lot of my friends complained they could not hear me anymore while I had full coverage. Have read posts of people (on Nokia forum for example) indicating the same problem.
I also have the problem that internal GPS (without A-GPS) is not working fine. It worked quite well and was very fast in the beginning. But all of a sudden I could not get a fix anymore. After that I have reset the phone a few times (after which it again works fine) but after starting up Nokia maps a few times it has the same problem of not getting a fix. Hope that a firmware update will overcome all these issues as especially the noise cancellation problem is quite annoying when talking to people.
