E 52 has a great battery life and a sleek phone.
But i was not happy with the speaker and the speakerphone quality,the phone has a vibration while you talk.
And not happy with the sprouting menu buttons.
Any phone is never perfect
Overall i will suggest the phone to everyone

The phone blinks (the lights a... moreIt's an effect. The Breathing Light is just to add "spice" to the phone when it's just laying there.
Looks cool to me though and it's LED.
It doesn't consume much power.
It takes 5-7 days for me to recharge even when it's turned on.
Anyway, The steps are below to turn it off.

Note:
Because there's no firmware update yet, I've noticed that most issues come about when its factory settings are tinkered too much. This is where issues in most E52s I've experienced before and I think others have too.
Keeping it in factory pristine condition will probably keep it more stable.

Wait for the black keypad to come out and a firmware upgrade, then you will have the perfect phone!

I have it for about 8 days.
The phone blinks (the lights around the navigation keys turn on) every 30 seconds. When I receive an sms the phone blinks every 10 seconds, and that's ok. But why does it blink when there are no new messegaes, errors or similar? It's just a big waste of battery life.
How can I turn the blinking off?

To all of u people out there,this is a phone&a good 1 so stop critisizing every minor detail.I dont think there is a perfect phone in any other brand&they r so many.Remember it is a phone with so many applications& error does exist,the important thing is to choose according 2 your need,so stop critisizing&make your own experience

Just directing these to people who keep b**ching about some perfect god phone or something, expecting it never to get busted till the end of time.
This is not for you or for people who are responsible enough to take care of their IMPORTANT stuff.
This is for all those who are careless enough to trust an untested device and just expecting things to always work, these things are man-made so chances are they'll break.
The next time around they should be more careful.
Even if you buy a Ferrari. You have to buy 2 because of the f***n maintenance. You need to like keep another one as spare for parts.

I back up so often with my E51.
I back up entire phone memory to memory card. I also back up contacts individually to memory card as business cards (VCF).
In addition to that I have my entire phone contents backed up to my PC at home, my PC at work and two online servers via SyncML technology.
So TRF, as you can see, I'm a backup man. Probably have my stuff in more places than you (smile).

hey people,
just one note. this is a smart phone.
meaning it has features more advanced than normal usage.
1 is the backup feature.
If you've ever used any form of computer be it having a Windows OS, Mac OS or linux, you'll know to backup your stuff. yup back it up.
Because things break. Computers crash(not crush, what is it a coconut?), freeze, hang, take your pick of what lingo you wish to use when everything flies right out the window.
If you're using any NEW volatile device you must always make sure to protect your irreplaceable interests(e.g. your personal and business files or whatever).
So for a smartphone, be it Nokia, Samsung, LG, HTC or whatever, these will have issues. Poor signal, Data Corruption, Bad Camera(good grief people! this is a phone. get over it.), oh I don't like the colors! Boo hoo. Get your coloring book kiddies.
If you don't know how to use a smartphone properly, buy something simpler that you can figure out properly. Like a phone.. with no camera. crap. come one people.
Anyway, my first e52 also died. woah! good thing I backed it up so I don't raise the war banners and stage a vendetta against an innocent electronic device.
My second one seems to be doing good. but hey let's back things up before the S***t hits the fan.
Anyway, a firmware upgrade will probably be available sooner or later. and hey, there will still be issues probably after that. phew. Guess that's what happens when it's MAN MADE.
So back your stuff up peeps and goodluck. Buy it or not, whatever works for you.

I just bought the E52 10 days ago..minus the 4 days it was send back to nokia for repair..i had the phone with me for 6 days out of which I only managed 10 hours of decent usage..most of the times the phone will hang and powered down without warning. Only when my blue tooth headset warning beep did I realised the phone was off. Repeat attempts to revive the phone by removing the batt and putting it back doesn't seem to solve the problem as the phone simply won't start up. the phone is now back to nokia for repair for a 2nd time and i have to wait at 1 to 2 weeks to see if changing the motherboard will resolved the issue.
Too bad I came across this website only after I bought the phone, had i known that this model is prone to crashing and getting bad service from nokia service centre i would have bought other brand. Should have known better to avoid nokia phones..

Would it be reasonable for me to exchange my Nokia N97 for the Nokia E52? Considering the E52 has better specs, smaller in size and lower in price. Please reply as soon as possible.

What are Problems of this phone except the software now?
The crushes, bugs and errors are known problems by nokia which are actually ever on the 1st FIRMWARE versions.
So dont do doubt about this device because its GREAT !
