Pocket-lint.com announced that E52 sales starts from today itself for only GBP-229.95
Really happy b'cas waiting for E52 comes to end here.....,..'..

My phone is in dire need of a replacement. It's 6 years old. I've been browsing for a new phone for a while now. My candidates are 6700-6720-n79-e52. Out of all those, it seems to me, the e52 would best fit my needs: 6700 -> S40 ; 6720 -> build quality not all that ; n79 -> tad slow processor ; that leaves the e52 as only survivor, the only thing that might be negative for now, is the camera. However I've yet to see a phone with a decent camera (even compared to a normal compact camera), even 8MP cell phone camera's with so-called high quality lenses produce fairly poor pictures, so wether it's poor or bad won't make much of a difference in the end. A camera phone is nothing more than a stopgap measure after all, for those situations where you really need to take a picture, but don't have a proper camera handy.
If the review on this phone satisfies me, I'll probably be buying it, once it's available.

Is it possible to make a photo to an article in a newspaper or magacine and after that read the text in the photo you made?

those who already have e52 here, what was the first thing u did to your phone? charge it while the phone is turned off or use it and let the battery drain before charging?
also, the first day you got your phone, did the battery drop? mine, it did. i got the phone with full battery bars. i used the wifi, 3g, breathing light on, installed applications, copy files, set some settings. at the end of the day, battery dropped 3 bars. only 4 remaining battery bars now.

Drain it first and then recharge it for 12 or 24 hours. The seller must have told you for how long.

There are big issues with this phone reported by many users in Europe. Think many times before buying it !

anyone help me decide? which do you think is better?
golden aluminun or silver grey? coz i was about to purchase it, but they only have silver (gold was sold out fast)... so should i just go for a silver, since that's the one in stock right now? my main concern is whether scratches would be visible on either one of them..(i have an SE Xperia and the battery cover has a small, noticeable scratch already!!)

i just bought my e52 today, and it has already dropped 2 bars! what is wrong? i've read here that some of the users were using wifi for a day and didn't drop a single bar! could it be that there's something wrong with my battery? or should i drain it first and initial charge it for 4 hrs (that's what the seller told me)?
