If Nokia says the CPU speed is 600MHZ then it's 600MHZ. Stop fretting over it.

IM, H, 07 Aug 2009Hi guys, I get E52 and its amazing phone, but I have small ... moreYou have never tested the E51's Wi-Fi, no problem. Well I have used the E71's Wi-Fi on several occasions and to me the E71 and E51's Wi-Fi seems to have the very same antenna. I have never noticed a difference in reception between E51 and E71.

The first person that I know of in this forum who said he got the E52 (PAUL) said the E52's Wi-Fi is on par with the E71 so there are mixed feelings about this which means I need to test it for myself.

Thanks for replying just the same.

      IM, H, 07 Aug 2009Hi guys, I get E52 and its amazing phone, but I have small ... more@ IM, H

It's because you have probably moved your sim card from an S40 device and are now using it on a S60 device.

On S40, messages are first of all saved on your SIM, and this is no doubt full. So to remove this icon, you will have to delete all of your messages.

      Next:

You asked: "can I get internet to my mobile through the USB cable from a computer?"

That doesn't make sense. That's like asking "can I cycle 60 MPH if I attach my bicycle to my car?".

Why would you want to use such a small screen and constrained method of navigating, when you will have at least a 12" screen in FRONT of you, with keyboard, mouse and a browser that can read all online programming protocols? It's a good definition of the word 'pointless'.

If you meant to say, "can I use my mobile as a USB modem?" (assuming you do not have an internet connection through the landline), then the answer is yes. Install the Nokia PC Suite and you can then use your mobile as a dial up modem @ 3 or 3.5G speeds, assuming your location supports that technology/speed.

However, be aware of the costs and that browsing speeds can be as slow or slower than the old (land line) dial up if you are in a poor reception area. Mobile broadband on cell-phone intended sim cards are NOT meant or allowed to be used as USB modems through a PC. You are usually only allowed to access the web through your mobile (e.g. using Opera) as the browsing data is tiny compared to that when using a computer that renders everything as normal and uses up far more bandwidth.

Hence, you can end up with your service being terminated or even unfair usage charges.

That's at least the case here in the UK.

      Hope that helped.

Had owned and been using the E51 since the past 1year. Loved the E51 and then read up on the E52. Was awaiting its arrival and finally when it arrived, I purchased it and ever since, have considered it as one of the worst purchases ever. Following are my pros/cons:

          Pros:
-Battery life doubled. It is now very impressive
-Has a flash and 3.2MP camera which takes decent pics

          Cons:
-Speed: said to be much much faster but not true. IMHO it is much slower at times.
-Buttons badly placed as wrong buttons often get pressed
-SIP profiles like Gizmo?!?!? Doesnt work like E51
          -Flimsly back cover
-SMS and Email not under single messaging head. Very annoying!
          -Basically a REAL DISAPPOINTMENT!!

The WIFI speed/signal might be good when u look at E52 only, but when u compare it with N82 and E71, it lacks as ive mentioned. Try getting either of these 2 phones and test it out and you will know. Never tried with E51 so im not sure, sorry.

Nokia E52 has really strong WiFi antena. I have located WiFi from about 10 metres from its location. And speed were high.

I had E66 and battery was terrible!!! which is why I got rid. E52 is wonderful in all features but battery life is exceptional. Only other Nokia with similar powerful battery was N79 -but that was inferior in various features. E52 is gr8.

Everything in the phone is awesome. GPS is good. N-Gage games works fine. Sending mass messages is not a problem at all. Battery life is exceptionally good. I only problem I face is the internet browsing. I can't seem to load facebook page. It just restarts halfway through loading the page. Any other webpages are fine. Has anyone come across this problem? Can e-mail me at justinwong@thepartystarter.com.my

                                      Hi all!
I have this mobile about 2 hours, and I have tested a lot :]
Well first impresion - build of high quality materials. Phone shows to be not so small, but very slim and light. Keyboard is very fingerfriendly, I type fast and correctly with it (even from first time). Screen is very collorful and quite bright.

I have tried GPS, and I can say that I got max 7-8 satalites signals and it is really great! GPS settings are easy. Well there was dissadvantage, that GPS counted wrong way to destination.

About WiFi - I have connected it really fast and speed is very high.. No problems with that :)

Sound - I have not checked it a lot, but sound is fine for me.. Well I even think that there is 3D sound abilitty, but I havent checked for it.

In conclusion - I am really proud to have this phone :] I hope it will serve well for me ;D

I have been a fan of the E series and started off with the E50 two years back. I got my hands on the E52 just two days back and must say it is pretty impressive. The ARM 11 600 MHz processor really makes the phone feel really smooth with all its features.
The battery life is great and i lost only a single bar after using wifi the whole day with a few number of calls. The phone is light and slim at the same time and feels gr8 in the hand or jeans.
The auto rotate feature lets you get the feel of an E71 when required. Over all the phone is a good buy for 1350AED from dubai.
There are a few cons though. The charging port and the 3.5 mm ear phone jack doesn't come with a protective rubber lid like the E71 making dust to easily enter.
The buttons in the side for the volume controls and power switch are not metal and feels like plastic that may loose its colour over time.
But considering the features, battery life and portability the phone is really good and the cons are out weighed.
