when will this phone be released in the philipines. this is going to be a great phone, a faster cpu, good battery life since it has a 1500mAh capacity batt. good thing nokia business line still has that image of a no non-sense device. i dont see the point of having an UBER megapixel cam, thats why we have a digicam for that and an ear bursting sound system, whats the point of having a mp3 player. its a MOBILE PHONE- not a swiss army knife. if you want to have all the features that you want then be ready to pay an arm and a leg. if you dont want this phone then dont buy it, no body is forcing you. comments are welcome but i guess violent reactions and D*MB questions, you should keep that to yourself. for me, i cant wait for this phone. this is again going to be a symbian hit from nokia.

Anonymous, 06 May 2009awesome..!! but how cheaper is this compared to E55?Expected cost for the E55 was 265e+tax and this one was announced at 245+tax. Not much of a difference.
It seems to come with a 1GB card instead of the 2GB on the E55.

I need to decide if I want the qwerty keyboard or not... if not, well, might as well save the $$ with the E52 and buy a bigger card.

Now all the whiners on E55's "qwerty with 2 keys confuses me" issue can be at peace.
As long as being outdated, I don't think so. Specs are really nice. It does not look cool but it has pretty much everything.

As for the E51 being the same... not at all. Compare the CPU speed for instance, 600 MHz on the E52/55 versus 369 Mhz on the E51. Makes a difference in many cases, for instance using full system encryption. Also no GPS, no 3.5mm jack, etc.

lonely_soul, 06 May 2009I can only see one main difference between this handset & t... moreI think you answered your own question there. It's about preference. Some won't buy the E55 because of the half-qwerty. Nokia would lose those buyers if they don't release the E52.

I don't really see the point of this phone...I'd rather have less pixels and autofocus. The whole "enhanced fixed focus" bit sucks donkey b***s! Why they bothered to upgrade it from the E51 is beyond me. What else? The display is larger, but it can't whow more information because it has the same resolution (more dead-weight for the battery to carry). The only advantage this phone has over the E51 is the GPS receiver and one would be hard pressed to show why it would be better than a BT GPS module. At least the E55 had ca quirky look with that keypad (some may like it, I don't even like the keypad of the E71), but this is a useless upgrade to the E51, which in my opinion still has the upper hand on this HS because of it's more diminutive size. Curious to see what the SAR ratings for this phone are; the E51's sucked...
