E52 is generaly a nice little unit however it is plagued with bugs and because of the fact its internal circuitry isn't protected, prone to frequent hardware failures.
Please note that Nokia considers the warranty to be void if there is any oxidation on the internal board, which isn't protected even by a spat of protective laquer as is customs in other serious phones.
This means that in the case you get from a cold place into a warm house (e.g. winter) internal condensation will occur, which will oxidize the exposed circuit board and cause your phone to die. Of course no warranty so you thrown 270€ through the window.
Mine stopped charging after about a year and a half. After the battery died I was unable to turn the unit back on. Warranty void. Why? Oxidation.
There is no way a manufacturer should be allowed to sell such a phone to customers and than blaming the weather (and therefore the buyer) because the phone isn't designed to survive even the most basic use. It is a unit made with planed obsolesence in mind and this is criminal.
I work in electronic engineering and we support products that are now working flawlessly 30 years (not counting breakdowns because of DIRECT lightning strikes), we do life-critical products.
We get product that are green and yellow sometimes even rusty of oxidation and after washing they continue to work - no damage to electronics. And those douches at Nokia simply flip you off.
Keep in mind the unit is not sealed and has quite a few connectors so it's almost guaranteed there will be condensation and oxidation sooner than later.
But here is a hint: Nokia can not guarantee the circuit is oxidation free even when they sell you the phone. There is a little sticker that changes color if exposed to humidity, but what they don't tell you is that the sticker needs far more humidity than the unprotected circuitry to malfunction. It's easy for them to sell you a doomed unit and even easier to flip you off as a buyer.

it seems users of this phone have a common thinking - liking for a thin smart phone, preferably Nokia, good looks, good battery life and hate for touchscreen!!! ;)

hello guys i think e52 which are made in finlad are very much batter then korean made, i had a very bad experience with e52 made in korea, now i have been using FINLAND for last 9 months and itx works absolutly gr8,,, those who says that there no difference b\w finland and korea, i just like to tell them try FINLAND and um sure they will change their opinion

@quetta, Usually most of the E-52 are made in korea. Their is no such difference in E52 made in finland or korea or china or India. Nokia adopts the same quality standareds in all these manufacturing plants & also does the same stress testing. It is just a perception that Nokia phones that are made in china are of poor quality than finland.

Its definetly a powerfull smartfone with real battery that lasts not these silly full touchscreen rubbish devices with 6hrs battery life.
.This smartfone E52 does everything i need and fotos are clear over 40cm..
When i first got one and it was the end of day and it had 90% battery left i thought i had a faulty fone but it wasnt.Love the switch from buisness to leisure in one button press.Getting E6 next.

I must really appreciete nokia for E52 as this awsome phone is equally comparable to the latest android phones, rather some of its features still beat 2011 model mobile sets. After usinf HTC's Hero, Mozart 7, desire S, I have come back to this mid range phone. Its weight, elegance, front chat camera and 16 mill colors are best features. Specially its 1500 milli amp battery is awesome, as nearly after 2 days of heavy use, calls, wifi, utube and messages, it still shows 50% left.. If any one of you is a heavy user then I suggest this phone.

But it is not available on my ovi suite.

why can't I upgrade my phone in Croatia??? it shows me that there is new version of fw, but whem I go to Upgrade, it won't download it. I tryed to do it OTA. :(
