I bought this phone from UK about 6 months ago, I accidentally dropped it and now would not even start, the screen is blank and it just heats up. I have tried getting it fixed but it has seized!

Its main camera is poor(3.15 megapixel fixed-focus) and is still prone to scratches(lens).No covers too for the microusb port and 3.5mm jack. Loudspeakers are located at the back just beside the camera which is a big flaw for me because the sound is affected when you try to play music with the phone lying on a flat surface otherwise you place it with its non-scratch-resistant screen facing down. It would be great if this phone came with a TV-out function given its massive 1500mah battery. It would be nice also if this has a massive internal memory which sadly is only limited up to less than 100mb only(60Mb to be exact). RAM/ROM and is ok.Its processor(600MHz) is ok,it's neither slow nor fast unlike other phones of different brands with 1ghz processors. The rest is ok.
The price is still expensive given the fact that this was released almost two years ago(2009, July). It's 6 out of 10 for me.

I need to know that after installing the latest platform/ VErsion Update my phone hangs up and i need to restart it. is any there any way out to unistall the current version so that to move to previous one or when is nokia planning to introduce a new Version.
I am facing problem of phone heating up soon also.

why is ... moreIt is the new update that has a bug. I really wish a new firmware is coming soon because for now I can't record any videos. I have been looking forward to new update but it is not forthcoming.

I have been experiencing a problem with video recording on my e52 after updating to firmware v054.003. The video recording is no longer smooth, there are pauses and stuttering. Anyone who has the same problem on updating to the new firmware. Any news of a new firmware because I am tired of this new one, it messed up my phone, I can't record videos. I wish I never updated in the first place.

I own a nokia e52. I notice a problem with my phonememory.It's getting low without apparent reasons. I have already deleted mails, pics, applications... I have cleared 2 Mb but a few days later the 2 Mb have been used !!
When I have scanned my phone memory by NetqinMobileguard, I noticed a file named "private"(35 Mb!) in the phonememory which is getting bigger everyday(400ko a day!).
I want to delete it. Can I do it without problem ?

After been using this E52 for 2 years, i would say it one of the best phone i ever had. never had it send for faulty repair. very solid metal casing(survives 3 feet drop numerous time), aluminium file like cover, Battery life is amazing. during 1st year, battery stamina lasted 5 days(30% usage). 2nd year, 3 days standby(30% usage).
speakers is clear n loud. while microphone a little on the downside at times, due to the cancellation of background noise features.
the only thing that annoy me is the nokia software update keep popping up on my phone screen every bi-monthly (altho i had updated quite frequently).

Don`t upgrade the firmware version to any phone, let it just like the begening, the old soft is better than every new one. I have a E52 and my first firmware versiona was 022.009 and the phone was working qickly with that, but he jamed to the photos menu and i had to pull out the battery (I think this is the biggest stupid at this phone with this photo soft). But after a while when i upgradated my firmware the phone began to jam even often specialy to photo menu and also when the turning sensor is active and i turn the screen horizontally and vertically in standby mode. I heard that not every phone are necessary to pull out the battery, because some of phones are releasing(coming back) but in my case every single one when he is jamming i have to pull out the 1500 mAh battery to come back the phone. Yet the phone with this latest firmware is working much slower, than the original firmware. And the phone memory is getting slower day by day BUT very little. When i`m listening to music and navigate on web in the same time the music is interrupting. Also with an old phone or a cheep, or a non smart-phone you recieve much more signal that with E52, or i guess with any smart-phones. I tried to downgrade my firmware to the first but cannot be done. I tried trough unorthodox metods as well but with the same result, and that guy told me that the phone cannot be corrupted to downgrade the firmware yet. So my advise to all of you who want or who are still using the old firmware is DO NOT UPGRADE YOUR FIRMWARE! Believe me that the phone is working much better with the old firmware. P.S. I caled to NOKIA`s department and they sayed the same thing about the downgrading firmware(that it cannot be done). Suck`s insn`t that right?
ATENTION: What i wrote here is not ment to discourage you to buy this phone. I`ve tested the phone very intesnse for this result! I personal, i`m pleased about the phone after all, the battery is holding and is holding and is holdin on and on and on, the design is great, the menu is great, you can do a lot of stuff with him(reading archives, e-mails, office job, adobe reader, navigation and much more things), music quality is very high(my concern about the music is not to getting loud but to hearing profi, quality is al that matters). The nokia e52 is the best as 4me bcos it is slim, long battery life, fast in processing data, good music sound and fast internet browsing. Not a touch phone & has a simple keypad which makes me 2love this phone with my life. Charles from nigeria

The nokia e52 have no problem and it is a phone that hardly get faulty. Some people's phone are faulty does not mean the all the nokia e52 are faulty. So as 4me it is the best nokia phone

Please advice my phone is behaving weired. when i receive a call the phone gets jammed but the call and connected after approximately 15to20 sec the timer starts. 2ndly sometimes when i receive a call there is no melody or vibration, it only shows on the screen that i am receiving a call, due to this reason i have missed soo many calls. please help me

Am experiencing a problem with my speaker on Nokia E52. I can not hear when speaking to somebody either having received a call or making a call and therefore am forced to put the phone on loudspeaker. Could somebody help?

i have this phone for more than a year now, it's the best phone ever i just love it.
nice design, good camera, excellent battery life, GPS is perfect

To get around memory problems try download optimizer utility which cleans up unused apps and processes. It doesn't exactly give you more memory but it helps manage what you have. i use Netqin products but I'm sure there are many choices out there. Love my E52 coz of the powerful Cpu (quite enough for running Symbian) and standard keypad.
