Thanks for sharing the update thing. I also tried software updates from Nokia OVI suite(connected via USB), but when it was going to download, the update files are some 139MB(approx), so I cancelled coz it was too big.
By the way, which country you are from?
What are the steps to to update ur firmware from your PC suite?

Friends, I had the same prob with my E52 going dead. It seems its a loose battery connection and once the bat connectors were made tight it works fine (so far!)

just bought 3 days ago... It z simply awesome... but am having doubt on battery timing... i charged it on thursday i.e. 23/12/X but rite nw i.e. 26/12/X it z finished... any comments on that...

Very unreliable phone! It is far from any "business type" phone. The Simban OS is very slow. Sorry to say it, because I used to be a Nokia-entusiast, but this phone is good "as a project" , but rubbish "as a real product".

I think in my region (Nairobi, Kenya)it aint available coz i have followed ur instructions yet i get no u[pdates. I am currently running on 052.003 firmware.

I checked for... moreDear Jojo, yesterday I have updated my Nokia E52 with OVI suite in my laptop to a newer firmware version 53.001 (dated as 29th Nov'10), you cannot update with with wifi connection and you have to connect via USB cable with your PC/laptop only! Thanks.
