You should ask Nokia about advice. If your device is covered by insurance which you usually get when you buy new device Nokia should fix it - it doesn't matter if they have it for that market or not.

          @ jar

My battery lasts up to 5 days max with minimum usage (few texts and waking up plus WiFi updates of few applications every second day).

In general you should expect battery to serve you for 2 days of "business" usage. However if you are going to use GPS (like I do) be prepared to charge it on daily basis too (I still use 6330i and battery lasts for 7 days after 4 years which makes this phone best I ever had). I guess if you need E series phone with good battery life E90 should be the one, but you better first check reviews once phone is out. Currently when it comes to competition HTC S710 looks good, but forthcoming S730 looks even better. Overall, I'm pleased with E60 even I wish it had battery with better capacity.

Nokia’s E-Series phones have a few codes you can key in to access various hidden features:

*#06# - Show the serial number (IMEI)
*#0000# - Show the software version
*#7370# - Factory reset (the default lock code is 12345)
*#62209526# - Show the WLAN MAC address
*#2820# - Show the bluetooth address

Also, if the phone won’t boot and hangs on the startup screen (white background, blue Nokia logo), you can initiate a factory reset by holding *, 3 and the green button.

Some or all of these seem to work for other S60 devices too, eg: N80.

                The file is located on:

Because some of the phones couldn't play this.

                      @ Oldy

This is really good phone. Visually E65 looks better and the only other things I could say in favor of E65 is memory card which is not MMC mobile.

MMC mobile is ok, but currently limited in size (only Kingston has 2GB card while all other vendors are limited to 1GB at the moment). I have tomtom and for example western Europe map takes some with application some 900MB. If you want to have Central Europe you need to exchange either card or have it bigger. I'm not fan of card changes so... but it all comes to personal preference. I'm very happy with performance of this phone and will surely use it for next few years.

I'm not sure if this is related to latest fw as I didn't see it before, but here we go... aftr fw update I was on business trip changing time zones... then I saw that GMT zones are totally messed up for some countries. Nokia has patch available for download on their pages (go to software download for E60) and after applying it everything works fine.

                            @ Vito

I'm using tomtom6 (aka navigator) and it works very nice and stable. The only bad side to this phone is that is uses MMCmobile cards which are mostly small (Kingston being the only one offering 2GB at the moment) so maps may take your whole space. The GPS usnit I use is LD-3W by Nokia.

                              Sry, forgot to mention:

Software that has maps preloaded (i.e. does not download the OTA as needed).

                              Thanks again

                                Please help!!!
I have a SirfStarIII Bluetooth GPS module and I've used the simplistic GPS features of the phone. Does anyone know where I can get a free/cheap GPS software for the S60?

Is anyone using a particular software that they like on this phone?

                                Please respond via email.

                                Thanks a million!!!

Actually, I just had to make links back again without reinstalling - data was there but for some reason in this version restore is not able to restore link to application.

I agree with Alex. Restore did nothing so I had to reinstall whole thing back (gmail and google maps).

I was wondering if anyone had an opinion comparing this phone to other GSM/WLAN(VOIP) handsets?

I am looking for a 'business' phone that is ok in size (E61 was too big). That has WLAN and VOIP.

Is the VOIP functionality good enough to use on a regular basis?

Also, I have been having troubles finding this phone in the US. Does anyone know any good places to get this phone new/used?

                                        THANKS!
