infrared is at the buttom ~ where all the connectors are ~
yea just found out why my battery drain like crazy ~ make sure to have all positioning tech off ~ or it will keep search for things as you go , not sure bout google maps through

set up a pop email acount and the headers and some mails downloaded fine. However, I can't seem to delete the mails or headers. Any suggestons?
It will delete when you disconnect....

hey does anyone know where the infrared reciever for this phone is? i know infrared is old technology but even still the phone says it has it but theres no obvious place and ideas people?

i switched off the keypad tone..so i don't know whether it does make any sound..i tried to make a call through the option in "phone book" but it was still the same - couldn't make any call..what should i do?i just own this phone for about a month..

with regards to not being able to make a call...is the button making any sound when you press it? This may be the same problem that i have, every now and then my short cut keys do not work and i have to go to my contact list thru my menus.

Hi can anyone tell me why sometimes I can't make a call? It happens several times already. I pressed the "Call button" but it gave me no reaction. however, if i called someone using speed dial, i can make the call. can anyone tell me what should i do please? thanks

when the phone is closed, lock the phone by press on/off button once, you can select lock
my question,
any body having problem with battery on this phone? i charged last night and it already gone by today (less than 24hrs) i made 3 calls, and only open the phone a few times, web search is off, position search is off, is there any other autosearch function tats killing my batt?

I installed Fring yesterday and today I made my first free of charge international call and the sound quality was really good, and amazingly no lag!! Fring gives you the option to add your contacts from Skype, MSN, GoogleTalk, ICQ and some other I don't know... you can chat and/or call.. really easy to use software.. I love it!

Oh, forgot to say, you can always not wait a hole day to install your theme and just change the date on your phone for a day later, continuing my example, that would be august 10th, 2007.

For those using the Carbide.ui theme creator and getting the "expired or yet not valid certificate" error when trying to install one of your OWN MADE themes, the problem is that the certificate that is encrypted in your theme when you export it to a sis package, in orther to install it in your phone, does not carry a creation time, only a date, and it's valid of a year.
Let's put it this day. If you create a key pair (certificate + key) on lets say August 9th and use that key pair to make a theme and try to install it on your phone that very same day (August 9th), symbian will think the certificate is not yet valid cause the life spam of the cert is from August 10th 2007 to august 8th 2008.
So, you can either create a key pair (cert. + key) at least 1 day before creating your theme, or you can wait one day to install it in your phone.
For your information, key pairs can be used in several themes so you don't need to creat one each time you creat a theme.
As for the rest of the themes that you download from the internet, most of them have expired certificates, I have already posted a solution for this in a previous post, look it up by "Expired certificate" error.

Guys, can anyone who has used this phone can confirm me that
1. It is easy to make internet calls on nokia e65.
2.Are there any other instruments which have same facilities.

To be honest I think the Nokia E65 is really good handset. I've had my E65 for 2 months now and I've not had one problem with it. None of the paint or covering has peeled off and I own my own business so it does get a lot of use! The camera is pretty crap as is the video but then thats not what this phone is all about. Its a smart business phone designed for those who want a handset with good features that will benefit them from day to day use, and I've had a few smartphones in my time so I know how to compare them. The E65 may not be the best but its definetally up there with them!

If you care this phone, you will have no problems at all with it, I am using it for 2 months, installed lot of programs on it, use it for skype and msn calls. all works fine and not one part of the coating is peeling off. just care it.

A few answers
- The only way to lock the phone without installing any program is to slide it down.
If you want to, you can install a autolock progam so it will lock up automatically after a certain time wich you can customize.
- again, the cam has NO FLASH.
- the color coat, red or brown will peel off if you are not extremely careful with it, but if you keep the phone in a case instead of lose with the keys and coins it should be fine. I've had the phone for a month and not peeling has occured.
- No secondary video call cam. yes, that's right, it already said so in the phone spec. don't you people READ them before you buy!?
- general performance: well, it seems to vary A LOT from device to device, I guess I'm among the lucky ones cause I've had NO PROBLEMS what so ever with my E65.
