I've got this phone for over 2 years now; if I had to buy another one, I would've chosen the same one. This is the best bang for your bucks. If you need a nice business phone with quad band gsm (best reception anywhere in the world), office package, perfect wi-fi and browser and don't forget voip, look no further. Checked my emails from free from Amsterdam's red light district, made voip calls from Barcelona and Cancun (where a minute from hotel is $4), god map directions in Rome, Paris, New York and even Buenos Aires via google maps. You can even buy bluetooth gps. Not to mention phenomenal graphics on cheap games, my kids love it. The best of all is slick and stylish design, you really look cool and classy and not like a geak with bulky N95 or HTC that's probably made for illiterate farmers. I feel that I need to share my experiance with this phone and help you make the right choice; this is italian design, german precision hardware, japanese quality and serbian creativity and defiance. Best of all worlds!! You can't go wrong. P.S. I'm an insurance executive, not Nokia salesperson:)

Bro my last phone was this phone and im typing this on my current phone, the e51. Look at the processors first. E51 way faster meaning more performance and less lag, sumthin tht also drived me nuts. Then the hsdpa capability tht the e51 has and the the e65 lacks. Theres no fm radio in the e65 and a few other things. So really if u want performance and liability u need to get the e51. This phone looks good but is really not as good as people are saying now. These people only got the phone when the price dropped and obviously then think its wonderful but u wnt regret buyin the e51 ill tell u tht

Mohammed - I have used this phone for a couple of monrths and no signs of paint peeling off.

This phone is ok, it is meant mainly for business purposes, its got quite a lot of feature. One thing that drives me mad is that the slider sometimes wobles. But otherwise its good

              Hey guys!!
I was just wondering, how does the VoIP function work on the E65. Does it use skype? And what if another person does not have a VoIP phone? And, I'm torn between buying an E65 or N81(8gb). Anyone can help me out with this?

the keypad has light, I think the one said it doesn't, the handset is faulty.
its a very good phone, and the only thing you should take care of, is the external cover, as it wear out easily, personally I am using E51, which still have probloems in the software, I'm thinking to switch back to E65. nice phone, great features, software stable.

I have the E65 for 2 weeks now. I can't get it to recognise voice commands. I was able to add voice tags on Nokia 6230i, and thought this would be a step up. Not so. Has anyone had this problem and more importantly, has anyone found a solution.

Thanks; any ideas which GPS model is better for e65? The main question - after purchase of this GPS station, could I really "see" my location in the map and could set directions?

This phone doesnt have a built in GPS receiver, you need to buy an external bluetooth one

software upgrade 'maybe depends' on your location.

Yip, I had downloaded Wayfinder Navigator, which states the voice commands, when I set my trip. But still it doesn't show me the real location. May be I shold get maps like tomtom (Nokia phones just hasn't this), which are more "heavy"- I mean up to 1GB?

I tried to us navigator, based on Bluetooth GPS and Network, but still I have not any reply from satellites.

Rej, could you use your e65 as GPS (the same as in car :)). I have such feeling that e65 doesn't support GPS without external device.
                                      Thanx

You may upgrade your fimware by using the the pc suite. Select "Update Phone Software". this should take you to the Nokia website promting you to download the Nokia software updater if you have not downloaded it. If you have downloaded and installed it already, it will automatically start updating. Before updating you will notice on the side the status of your firmaware. Your current firmware will be displayed and the firmware available will be displayed under it. Before commencing with the firmware update, your phone will have to be connected to the charger.

Note: It is advisable to back up all information (contacts, messages, files and applications) before updating.

With regards to the phone itself, I find it to be quite a nice phone. A little slower than my previous phone but a pleasure to use nevertheless. Packs a powerful punch for the slim bomb it is.:)
