Carol, 19 Nov 2022You literally read one article, about that, an article that... moreIt's department on choice of apps installed can get ram usage over 8gb ram usage in background if enough ram hungry apps installed
Android 12 I think the worsed version of Android I have ever used
Yeah 6gb ram really is minimum sadly
Google has caused chaos on the budget market
Am shocked by how badly the Nokia g10 runs on it's tier of hardware with Android 12 it will hard freeze up sometimes has too be powered on and off just too get it too unfreeze
A generic clone phone from wish p30 pro clone runs better than it and is more stable and reliable
But I can definitely say without even using this Nokia c100 smartphone it will be mega sluggish
At it's price point it's very forgiveable given the hardware too price ratio
Storage speed definitely make a difference if Nokia choice too put good storage in this but it's highly doubtful
I think the fastest budget smartphones be the
Alcatel 1b of 2022 as it's on Androidgo 11 with 2gb ram this smartphone should be reasonable smooth
Am talking about speed & smoothness in system Ul OS & browser in day too day usage
Things like this I just know from experience with smartphones I used from many brands hardware and software combos
so I kinda know what too estate and espect

I'm now furious! 😡 Here in Finland 🇫🇮 Nokia G60 is sold in only one variant 4/64 Gb and probably in all of EU? I was interested in G60 since some reviews in India told that the camera is much better than expected, Then I watched a video from Nigeria (YouTube search: Izzi boye Nokia X30 vs Nokia G60) only to see that they get the Nokia G60 in the best 6/128 gb version! That should be the only sold model everywhere in the world for a phone they want us to use for 3-4 years and which will get Android 13,14,15. But no, this is how much HMD Global loves us? Even in their home country Finland. To add to the insult in Nigeria they get a charger + headphones with G60 in the box, here in EU both are of course missing. Does this make any sense at all? Comments would be nice, much appreciated 👋.

Sin, 14 Nov 2022I thought the Nokia c100 was really good Given it's a... moreYou literally read one article, about that, an article that's more or less hard to take seriously especially when one can find only that claim everywhere where is about a 12 sys requirements, kind of sketchy...yet to talk about that non-stop. The x30 has 8 GB RAM and with all the apps rhat i have installed, over 40 of them, runs as low as 4,2GB with 3,8GB free, bumping up to 4,5GB or 5GB when playing or whatever RAM intensive tasks i do. Exactly the same behaviour i had with the same apps installed on Nokia 9 PV running on android 10. So yeah, apparently not everything that flies is to be eaten... Never seen them bouth approching 6GB RAM. And that's on phones where the system has plenty RAM space to keep all of it's services opend so to make the device snappier. So, me, understanding what RAM is needed for and how systems work arround lesser, i highly doubt that a low end device will have trouble running android 12 or 13 for what matters, with 3 GB RAM or less, less will be probably a bit more slugghis but not necesserly because of the RAM but more because of the whole hardware, Storage speeds being a very important feature in this situations, but one that at the low end devices won't break any charts. That's a problem paper specs buyers have no idea of. Hardwarw need to work perfectly with eachother and good experience does not come only from cpu and ram, there is a lot of others that can make low end work grood or highend work bad.

Subramanian CN, 14 Nov 2022I will certainly buy a Nokia device, if G400 is launched gl... moreI thought the Nokia c100 was really good
Given it's asking price of just only 29 $ on sale
If only there was a global version version unlocked
It be a great budget smartphone
This smartphone tick's all of the box's
cheap & affordable
Has headphone jack removable battery SD card slot
Bezels small size
All good design choose I prefer
Hardware good too for it's price
mediatek a22 processor 3gb & 32gb storage
The only catch is it runs Android 12 with system requirements of minimum 6gb ram
So it's as well optimized as a car with square wheels
And the OS is not completely without blootware
So it will run as sluggish as it gets in the system OS UI & browser and hard freezing up will be the normal

The divine justification as to why this device is priced more is because of HMD's commitment for Android updates and security updates for three years and extension of warranty period for this device for 2 to 3 years which varies between countries. These things increases their asking price of this device, invariably. But, to be precise, most of us don't stick on to a device for more than two years. For hardcore users, the original battery wouldn't last for three years. Also, most of us prefer to change our mobile instead of changing batteries. Moreover, the possibilities of device deterioration and device loss in transit are always uncertain. Above all, Android updates aren't reliable. Hence, a good device which costs less and with no promises for Android updates is more than sufficient, because, Android 12 should be good for the next 2 years without updates. As a matter of pride and brand value, HMD may provide just one Android update depending on the situation and profits from sales of that device. These Android updates commitment and increase in warranty period are justifiable only for flagship devices. Let HMD decide.

I will certainly buy a Nokia device, if G400 is launched globally or a similar mobile from HMD with some other model number, which has the same specifications as G400, if and only if their asking price is right. Moreover, the device should launch with Android 13 out of the box. Since Nokia devices employ clean stock Android, launching it with Android 13 shouldn't be difficult for HMD. Of all the present Nokia lineup, Nokia G400 is the ONLY BEST midrange device. Snapdragon 480+ is the best midrange SOC from Qualcomm better than Snapdragon 695. Moreover, G400 has got all the necessary sensors. In the same way Nokia's tablet T21 should've been launched with Snapdragon 480+. It is not necessary that readers of my messages should agree to everything what I say. Everyone has got their own tastes and they have got every right to do anything with their life.

Anonymous, 13 Nov 2022So as you prefer Apple and IOS ,stop comments about Nokia a... moreIf you've really understood what I've said, you wouldn't have replied me. I spoke only about this device in particular, though I referred about Apple. To be specific again about this device, the Nokia G60, this device is not GOOD ENOUGH for its ASKING PRICE. This was my first statement in my previous message. Though I don't have one, I used it (my friend's). It is just sufficient to know about a device, if you use it for two hours. This device should've employed Snapdragon's 778G+ SOC for its asking price. At the same time, if you have deep pockets there is nothing wrong in buying this device.
Organizations like HMD runs, not just for people like you, but, for the global community at large. It is not just enough for them to sell their devices for people just like you, but, to many, at large. Though I've praised Apple and used some of their devices, I will not buy one, because, I am not ready to waste my hard earned money on a fancy gadget, though I can afford one.
If I say that something is good or bad, it is not necessary that I should have one. As far as Google is concerned, everyone knows about what they do. It is not my problem if you don't understand things. The most important point to be noted is that, people aren't ready to accept things, even if they knew it. They simply compromise. The world runs on compromises.
To conclude, it is very difficult to be too Good, though one can pretend to be one. Our world would never end, if everyone is too Good. When there is a beginning, there has to be an end. Hence something has to be bad. Good and bad goes hand in hand. GOOD LUCK and Thanks for replying.

In the name of God, what is the problem with Nokia mobiles? Why people complain? My statements are relevant only for the mobiles launched between 2020 and 2022. Let's take the newest ones from HMD, the Nokia G60 and X30. These two mobiles are priced heavily but, is not too good for its price. Why should it be too Good? Because, competition wants it to be. Even this is the case with Google's Pixel. Why? One of the answer is the nature of the OS itself (Android). Needless, to say about the Apps of Google themselves and the way it works.
Though Apple prices their products heavily, no one complains about its performance. Why? Because, their iOS is too Good. Why is it so Good? Though there are many answers, I would like state only a few. Firstly, iOS doesn't employ gimmicks because gimmicks deteriorates performance. Secondly, their iOS belongs to a closed ecosystem. Thirdly, the nature of Apps it employs and the way it is handled by iOS.
Till now, I have stated my answer only with reference to OS. Coming to hardware, Pixel stays ahead just because of its camera algorithm (only) though it can't beat Apple again. Hence, Pixel camera performance is not because of camera hardware but, because of its software Though there may be some, to refute this statement for the sake of arguments, they can't justify it in any way. To be honest, Sony mobiles employ the best mobile cameras in this world.
Coming to processors, people always look at way how it is named. Take for example Xiaomi's Redmi Note 12, which employs Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 which is praised heavily. But, it is in no way better than Snapdragon 480+. But, Xiaomi employs this new SOC just to make a difference to boost sales. Hardware performance is in the hands of individual mobile manufacturers in relation to the individual hardware components they employ.
I admit that Android OS grows heavier with newer versions, which warrants more processing power. Still, there are plenty of things to be discussed with reference to 32-bit and 64-bit versions of OS and apps it employs, the nature of 5g and its requirements (processing power and battery requirements), etc. The important thing to be noted is that, a mobile is a thing that packs everything to fit inside our pocket, which none of us shouldn't forget.
Though, it is possible to elaborate my arguments, there is no use. Things will only go the way as it stands, unless it impacts Google's profits in a big way because, it is Google who governs Android.
To end up, Android OS performance can't be improved unless Google employs some drastic measures because, it is Google who empowers Android (with the help of their Play Store).

To add to the previous negatives that have already been mentioned:
The screen is very blue. It has a very noticeable blue cast it's harsh to use at night. No way to adjust except using filtering apps, but many don't work with Android 12.
No Ram expansion. Might be gimmick, but almost everyone else offers it. There is none in 4GB model.
This phone is total waste of money. So many other better ones for cheaper.

I didn’t notice much difference between using either of those, the sound was in most parts okay, but it didn’t blow me away.
Maybe some slight distortion on certain soundtracks but I am not sure whether it was the recording or the phone. I have definitely heard better sound but mainly on more expensive phones.

One more Device from Nokia with Chipset - Qualcomm SM6375 Snapdragon 695 5G. Happy that Nokia is trying the latest technology that is in Market, but it's always late to bring latest technology in their device. Feature wise the cell phone is very good. But in few departments, Nokia should improve in all their upcoming cell phones like Display - at least AMOLED display, Battery life - minimum 500 mAh, Charger - min 33W & last but important the "Pricing" when compared to other cell phones with same specifications.

My honest review
Great in hand look and feel and like the design. Performance is pretty basic though, and can be fast if you're NOT multitasking.
When using multiple apps (waze, insta, twitter, chrome, youtube, tiktok, snapchat, whatsapp, telegram, banking app, trading app), the phone starts to stutter and jitter. I don't game so I can't review on gaming.
Only the 4GB model is sold here. Bit disappointed.
The sound isn't good. Call volume is definitely low, especially when calling through whatsapp/telegram. Can barely hear videos or listen to podcasts via speakers. Headphone jack comes in handy, but again, low tinny sound. Bluetooth headphones improve sound a lot, but not ideal for me (commuter/battery/charging blah blah)
Battery - having to charge twice per day sometimes due to rapid battery drain when using social media/trading and navigation apps. If I don't use the phone much, standby time is really really good.
No bloat ware & I like stock android a lot because of basic & fast interface. Also no problems with screen. It's nice and sharp and bright enough for me.
I plan to keep for 12 months before i change. But i wont buy a nokia again as too expensive and i realise i need good sound from a phone because i love podcasts, music and video and this phone just doesnt cut it for my needs. Will definitely research more before i buy my next phone. Will try to update my review over next 12 months if any problems arise
