Nokia will still be working there apps in background. Specially here maps and Nokia music, Even if the sale goes through.

First of all im a fan of technology before being a fan of a brand. What im hanging on is Microsoft buying Nokia and i hope they bring out some new interaction with their devices so there will not be seperate Microsoft apps and seperate Nokia apps. I would like the Microsoft app store to be filled with what it lacks today. And definitely makes some apps that can take advantage of the big screen so we can browse more efficiently like on IOS tablet apps. I hope Microsoft changes the game and brings us the third mobile platform that people deserve. Windows 8 for mobile has the potential but it lacks a good Microsoft CEO.

Anonymous, 12 Nov 2013Netbooks are much better than tablets because do not need k... moretrue they can run old pc programs but their problem is they are designed for low cost masses and 100 % of time they come to crash un less you boot linux on it whatsover... but you cant match portable web browsing on tablet with netbooks. todays tablet are becoming much more intuitive and almost perfect for anything like web browsing,e book reading,watching videos and quickly managing your media or daily work hassles that dont require a full pc

user, 11 Nov 2013i think what you are looking for is a cheap netbookNetbooks are much better than tablets because do not need kickstands and keyboard covers and run old programs and they are much cheaper so more affordable to throw them away next year when get obsolete.

I had surface rt. It was great . Test it does skype. I eventually moved up to surface pro which is good for for downloads etc. Nokia tablet will be same as surface rt but with better faster software. IM going to get one in white. Be nice. It will be my holiday and weekend away tablet for sure. But keeping my surface pro

The same as Windows phone but optimized to run office apps in a tablet form factor intuitevely. Other than that it is like any other tablet,you cant run PC programs.But even so it seems pretty cool to me. Then it depends on every consumer of what they like on a tablet but definitely this seems like a right step for Nokia on the tablet market. So to sum up this is a tablet which can work as a laptop to a certain degree plus it has ports for hdmi and usb like laptops.

People will not buy such expensive tablet limited to RT. If it had latest Atom processor with 4 cores and full Windows OS with MS Office and priced less than $600 then it would make some points. See Dell Venue 11 and HP Omni 10 for better deals.
