I am a victim of having NOKIA LUMIA 610 and facing so called cloud philosophy of Windows Mobile.
When I received lumia 610, i was amazed of its UI and its intuitiveness.
(You can still amaze with this phone .. let me give few inputs )..
But it was upto 2 days. For 2 days I was using wifi connection at my home and office and busy after downloading various applications and games.
(fine no issues)
After 2 days, i had activated 3g plan and from that time this phone becomes curse for me.
I was not able to access internet from Lumia 610. I checked my 3G card in a 3G dongle and it was working awesome but in lumia 610, I was unable to open even single site. I had posted the same issue in Nokia Forum bu still no satisfied answer is received.
(which service provide ? if you see internet not working.. pls go to settings-> mobile network -> last option (add apn -> enter apn) for Airtel its airtelgprs.com and restart your phone , let us know)

On the same day i was playing a song from mix radio and my wife asked me to have that song in her mobile. I downloaded it from mix radio and search the option to send it over Bluetooth. It was Nokia WP ureka... I spend more than an hour to find the option to send music files via Bluetooth but not found any :smileysurprised:. What a **bleep**.
(bluetooth file transfer is not there in Lumia series this is know issue, you shud have checked while buying.. but don't worry.. new software update looks to be coming to have this option, you can use zune to copy music to pc )
Soon it gives me another shock that all the contact details in my phone was getting sync with my windows live account. So, all the private numbers were getting uploaded to my account and there was no option to stop it.:smileysurprised:. I don't want my personal contact number to be uploaded on internet. Again a **bleep**.
(i don't see anything wrong by having your contacts Sync to live id.. its easy when you lost your phone to sync all your contacts in one shot.. if you lose your phone.. rename your windows live password .. then nobody can use your contacts ) .
One more shock i got when i found that Angrybirds and Skype was not supported in Lumia 610. Even I don't get any VoIP application like 3CX phone or Bria phone on market for internet calling for Lumia 610. So, can't use my SMART PHONE as my extension phone even though my company provides WiFi connectivity and in-house VoIP EPBX.:smileyfrustrated: Again a **bleep**.
(Yes Angry bird doesn't work on Lumia 610, initial release had this option.. but Angry bird is memory hungry and Nokia discontinue angry bird..but read rovio which makes angry bird is making lighter version for 610)
Another thing I found that there is no sound profiles in lumia 610. There is separate Flight Mode only. What if only want to switch it to vibration mode and don't want my internet connectivity to be stopped? Go to settings then tab on ringtones+sounds then turn off ringer. There is even no facility to pin the ringtones+sounds on start-up screen. What a shortcut, mind-blowing:smileyfrustrated:.
(if you press your volume buttons then you have option to make it silent anytime in one click.. why do you need so many profiles ?.. ).
lets go one step further, it is not allowing to set ringtones other than provided in phone (I had not yet found any 3rd party application for lumia 610 which can allow it). Its crazy.:smileyfrustrated:
( There are 3rd party application in market place which will set ring tones which is part of application/... ).
There are so many such little things in phone which creates frustration while using it.
(i can understand.. u might be thinking Android would have been better.. there are many unsatified android customers you can walk and find. am not working for Microsoft.. but i like this phone for sure).
These UI, intuitiveness, cloud concepts, etc., is good till you have proper internet connectivity. But when you try to use it as a phone in daily routine, you will face a new frustration each time.
(findout why Internet not working for you.. other wise walk into Nokia Customer care.. they should help you out.. it worked for me in first go atleast after adding apn)..
Boss, this phone will fall on his face in Indian market if you consider users rather than buyers, satisfaction rather than sales.
(try given options.. am sure u'll like it :-) ).
I am a Nokia fan as with Nokia I always find reliability and satisfaction. I had gifted various Nokia handsets to my family members. But this time I failed to choose one for me.:smileysad:

I have spent 12.5k rs behind this **bleep** and now, I am going to replace it with any Android one as all so called Cloud facility is also available in it, but other manufacturers have taken care of such little things also.
(lumia is not high end smartphone.. this low end smart phone.. for 12K it has best options)

Lumia 610 rocks.. but is slow compared to lumia 710 or 800... if u pay 2000 extra u cn get a lumia 710.. so better go for a faster mobile instead of a slower one..

This is a nice looking phone. It is good to browse the internet, but the downside is that with this phone; I can not even download and use some of my favourite applications I.e 2go. So it is aesthetically good but not equally functionally
good.

I have an android too but its not so smooth even after ICS...hopefully android will be close to WP now with Jellybean due to Project Butter!

john, 25 Sep 2012touch is not goodThere is a small sensor beside of Nokia Logo on Secreen.
Remove protector from it.
Then touch will work fine

am using email to transfer pics which works very well using wifi..
try email option / skydrive..

am happy with this phone .. very fast.. no freezing and good quality built and Lumia experience
