Anonymous, 13 May 2012nokia lunch andoroid mobile to compete with samsungnokia has an exclusive contract to windows that they would be exclusively using that os. That's why they can't (at present) create android phones.

Had this phone for over a week now and I am impressed. I have both SGS 2 and LG P970 and all I can say is that the Lumia 610 have been giving the two some ass kicking.
Pros:
- Very responsive, no lag unlike LG P970
- Dirt cheap compared to SGS 2
- Better battery life than LG and SGS2
- Easier to bring and tuck somewhere
- Nice UI
- Personally, I find 8G storage enough ( This is a phone, not a PSP!)
- Nokia Drive is heaven sent
Cons:
- No FTP! Contact Transfer app is useless
- Syncing is only for music and video. They should have included Outlook contacts
- Having more apps in Marketplace would have been nice
Generally, the phone is bang for the buck. Its cheap, functional and worth every cent you put into it. DON'T base your opinion on what you read on the specification chart, it doesn't reflect the true performance of the Lumia 610. Have a first hand test before you say it ain't worth shit. ;)

Just got this phone recently.
And very happy with it.
This is a very stylish phone that looks awesome beautiful - hard to think that it's priced for mid range level. Mine had a rubberized back panel with chrome edges. The touch screen is bright and clear. Big one too - at 3.7". And thin. Not bulges or uneven elevation - this is for the pocket. Looks alone made me to favour it over the Lumia 700 & 800. Definitely not something you expect at this price range, but hey it's a steal!
Battery is good. On standby-mode you only experience like 5% loss within a 12 hours period. Better than my previous Android phone.
Windows Phone 7 runs smooth and beautiful. Yes, it's a lower spec phone but DO TRY IT in the shop if you feel lagging is an issue, which is not.
Things to remember:
- No memory card support, there's 8 gb of built in memory
- Micro SIM only.
Limitations? At first yes, but over time you'll appreciate the price vs value vs built vs features points.
Issues that may bother new users to a Windows Phone 7
- No bluetooth file transfer (yup!)
- No USB mass storage support (yup!!)
You need to use the Zune software to transfer files from a computer to the phone - but limited to pictures, music, videos, & podcasts.
