hey guys, how come that my nokia lumia 710 opens automatically if i charge it.... i turned it off... then, if i connect the charger, it opens... is that normal? help pls...

For di moment the Bluetooth doesn't work!
So ..if u want to transfer contacts u can use only the social app like Facebook, ..or Google/E-mail accounts.

I have been using this phone for 2 weeks now. It is one of the smooth flowing phone I have ever had. A lot of apps are available in the market place. My phone currently have more than 20 apps and it still perform well. I am impressed...
Downside:
- Hard to sync with contacts that are stored in Outlook
- Battery life approximately less than 1 day for consistent usage

Basically this phone is a short version of a pc or laptop as you can say. It has a fast processor(1.4ghz) and a gpu card(adreon 2.05) also which makes evry work to be done very fast. The bluetooth is only for transferring for contacts & photos only(apps based).this is done for security person same as you get firmware in a pc.
Actually the whole os is from the superb trademark microsoft which gives you its own marketplace. You can listen music, enjoy video(hd),but you have to fill those stuffs from any system. From system this phone only takes those files after scanning just like a pc.otherwise it wont allow you to transfers them. The next thing is the look. Believe me nokia has done a great move by launching such product in such a cheap price.. It has a very good clear crisp screen a high sensitive touchpad. Again for security reason the phone has no external slot. Here i want to say that if the internal(8gb) would be 16 gb it would b quite acceptable. But dnt get bother. Skydrive gives you a full 25 gb space for your name only.. It is a good thing.sound quality is good, active noise cancellation gives you better hearing quality. You get full access to ms office(tm) but for power point you can only view the files if anybody send it to you.
The main thing is this phone doesnt get hang any time. Blv me. Not a single time. This is where it beats android.
Actually the whole phone is a running windows live account. The phone will tell you to give a id and a password.once you complete the instructions the whole contacts will b ib that account. If yoy make any other account(fb,tweeter,gmail) those contacts will also get synchronised.here i want to tell you a great thing. There is a feature called contact integration which allows to integrate all the contacts of a person from various source in a single card.. Photo quality is good.. But what battery back up you expect from a windows phone.. Nokia lumia710 gives you 6 hrs talktime continuously.
Overall mango os 7.5 internet explorer 9 with microsoft interface gives you superb security for your phone..(upgradeble) great picture clarity..but this is actually not a package with which you are supposed ti play.. This is a office purpose phone very much like apple ios

Hi everyone.
I want to know what's approximately the stand by time of lumia 710?
Means if we use it only for some calls say: 1/2hr per day and few texts only, will it last for 48hrs?
Coz i have had drastic experience with android, that silly os sucks battery in idle mode ~30% drainage in 8hrs.
Does lumia suffer from this only?
If yes i m goin for N8.

and yes it has a windows market place where u can download free apps and some apps could be buyed. :)

am using x6 now......luking for lumia 710.......bt i dont know how windows phones are different or better than android......is all the application of android runs on 710,or is their any windows app markit......a great confusion with me plz suggest......!

Currently, lumia 710 is only £99 at carphone warehouse uk until 7th June. Amazing value. Similar priced phones such as lg optimus l3 have terrible qvga, hvga max., screens with 3.2 inch size and slow 600/800mhz processors AND terrible 2/3 megapixel cameras. I do like android, but this is alot better value, a great but cheap windows phone perfect for 13 year olds like me. Its even £89 on a payg upgrade!!
