I do... moreit does support gsm networks. but you will get only 3.5 hsp+...something or 4g but no lte, and your text messages will go out but but won't be able to receive.(or vice versa)can't remember. this is a well known issue with this particular model. no matter what you do on the settings , it won't work. god him self can not fix it. but hey, you can always use whatsapp. i recommend using a verizon's mvno like page plus. they have improve their plans a lot or verizon prepaid or many others, so you can take full advantage of this cute phone. p.s. screw you microsoft and hulu and other developers for not continuing support for these devices. always on the side of the crowd. for boring iphones and androids. simple minded ....... well peace. bye now.

Wait, what??? Are you sure this supports GSM networks? I don't think so for a Verizon exclusive as that would be very weird...

does anybody knows of a client for hulu to work in this phone? the original hulu app finally stop working (not in the store anymore) and nor hulu or microsoft give a damn about their loyal customers. hulu. watch and learn. netflix still being supported in older windows devices like the 822.

This phone is really slow on Windows 10 but fixed it by downgrading it back to Windows Phone 8.

Please am using lumia 822 and they are insisting that i create a microsoft account.i am about creating but i am asked to call my service providers to send some activation codes,i called and they said they don't have, that i should contact microsoft.who experienced this and how was it solve, please i need urgent help.

The solution if for you to reset your phone to factory settings in the phone settings....It worked for me. The only other headache I experienced was how to configure VPN for the phone.

I am having very similar problem as Ozwhip. I was able to click "on" button 2 or 3 times to get slide up screen, but now I have to disengage and re-engage the battery for it to come on. This started happening since reactivating service with this phone after no use for about a year. Verizon store had to give me a new SIM card for update, and I may go back to see if the SIM card is the problem. The phone worked just fine before that, and the battery was thoroughly assessed and has 100% capacity. I also installed all necessary updates to bring current to 8.1 Windows. WTF? Ozwhip, did you get your problem solved? I like this phone and have taken very good care of it, and don't want to spend money on a new phone. Any suggestions out there?

my charging system got spoilt and i changed it. just after 4 days it got spoilt again.
please is any experiencing this too??

Hi I'm having a problem with my Nokia 822. The phone was charged then it just shuts off, no display. when the start up screen comes on and u slide up to get the different display options, there is just a blank, black screen. At that time if a call comes in, it will be displayed, but other than that, after the phone goes into safe mode and a call comes in, to see the caller or any pther option, I have to connect a charger cable to operate. Pls help, help, help for the solution.

Downloaded Windows Insider. Opted for Fast Preview but still not getting Phone Update. When I use Insider again it shows that my phone is updating patch
Its more than 3 days since my phone was rebooted after selecting Fast Preview
How long do I need to wait???

great windows phone, upgraded to WM10( thru the insider ) but after almost 2 month using it and getting updates, still battery life was not so long lasting..so I went back to windows
